We walked around town looking for a place to eat on a monday nite in June. Everywhere else was mostly empty and the Splash Cafe had a line out the door. So we tried it. Everything was delicious, I had the steamers, chowder and tuna taco, my wife had the salmon salad. The grilled sourdough (came with the steamers?) was... more

Great beach food, there is very limited seating, as the name says it is a cafe.. more like a great place to do take out and eat outside somewhere or take it back to your hotel and site outside, FISH tacos were large and very tasty !! Clam Chowder is white and very rich very good and a little is... more

I dont get what all the hoopla is all about. The food is just ok, and the dining area is cramped. Super casual with an extensive menu of you name it, and they'll fry it fish. more

They tout their accolades, and it is all justified. Best clam chowder I have ever experienced. This place is the epitome of a small quintessential beach town old dive cafe. But don't let the facade fool you, it will be PACKED with people and for good reason. There's usually a line out the door to get a taste of this... more

You have to get the famous Clam Chowder in a bread bowl, and don't forget the seafood topping. The seating is crowded, and on busy days, you will have a problem finding a seat. If you are staying in a nearby hotel, you might want to get the chowder "to go", and eat in your hotel. more

One just can not visit Pismo Beach without eating at the Splash and getting one of Clam Chowder Bread Bowls! The clam chowder is great and the bread bowls are fresh! It's even good to take out on the pier and eat while people watching. The line moves quickly and you con't beat the price. more

This place has ok clam chowder. It's really white, like the kind you get in a can, but this is definitely home made. When I was in high school in Arroyo Grande I had a lot of friends who worked there and lets just say some of the stuff that goes on in the kitchen makes me want to stay... more
