I read up on this place before I got to Pismo. It is busy all the time with people lined up out the door. Definitely worth the wait. The clam chowder was so good in the bread bowl. I almost wanted to order a 2nd one. Will definitely return to the place in the future.

Our family was in Pismo Beach for our daughter's wedding and we stopped in to Splash Cafe. The line was wrapped around the building, but the food was delicious. Obviously they are know for their chowder, but the kids had chicken and a wrap which was very good as well.

Everyone has their own version of clam chowder and Splash Café has theirs. It really is memorable! Excrutiatingly rich, creamy and buttery. The velvety texture makes me think they stir in whipped cream right before they serve it. It's definitely worth a visit (and their menu prices are very good, too).
