Several locations in town. Place produces for mass production and shop. The shop is located in heart of Pismo. Can't miss the long long out the door and around the corner most of the day. Shop looks incredibly small from outside but has a little stretch in the back. Counter staff is pretty quick at that. Cleaning and cooking staff... More

Absolutely hands down our all time favorite place for clam chowder! My hubby always gets his in a bread bowl and I just get a bowl and share his bread. We also love their clams and fries! You can't go wrong eating here and don't let the line discourage you! It moves quickly and it's worth it.

get the chowder in the bead bowl! They carve out a hockey puck core of the bread, slather in butter, then cook it up all crispy on the flat top and serve it with the chowdah'! so awesome!

This is a regular stop every time we travel to the central California coast. The clam chowder is the best we have ever had, and we have tried many. You can get get it in a sourdough bread bowl, which just adds even more deliciousness. We have never tried any of the other menu items because the clam chowder is... More

Hotel clerk recommended Splash cafe personally. Creamed clam chowder not to miss. Clam strips and fries, local beers. All the best!

Don't give up with the line. It's worth the wait and the line moves fast. The chowder was the best I have ever tasted and the fish and chips was also very tasty.

Fortunately I visited this restaurant in low season so the "crowd" problem was not a concern. And I went without a moment of hesitation for the Clam Chowder in a bread bowl. Which is simply great and a humongous pleasure to have for dinner. What some people react to is the style of restaurant where one orders and payes for... More

We waited in a long line around the building to get in to the splash cafe, once in, the cashier took our order and was very friendly, we then had to walk over and try to find a table while our food was prepared. We were lucky enough to grab a table that was opening up But was very crowded,... More

It is one top 3 clam chowders I have had. Very creamy and great flavor. Best in the bread bowl, as it is toasted with garlic and butter. Old fishermans Grotto in Monterey is at the top of the list as well.
