Other nearby restaurants CLAIM to have the best clam chowder in Pismo Beach, however, they're WRONG! Brad's has the most amazing clam chowder we have ever tasted! It is homemade and made daily unlike other restaurants who buy the clam chowder base and add to it! This is inside information here! :) Our suggestion is to have the clam chowder... more

After taking a look at a few of the local restaurants when we got to Pismo Beach, we decided to eat lunch here. Although they have a fairly large menu, including non-seafood items, they seem to specialize in seafood with chips (i.e. fish, shrimp, scallops, clams, etc.) In fact, they had more types of seafood with chips than I think... more

The tri tip sandwich at this place is out of this world. Don't forget to get a cup of their fantastic bbq sauce. Get one to go and walk down the pier. It's one of the best parts about pismo beach. more

Great BBQ!

My wife and I both love this place to eat when we're in Pismo Beach. The BBQ tri tip sandwich is thick and lean and very tasty. We always eat ouside as we always go during the summer months. Also the clam chowder is excellent! more

We enjoyed our lunch and first time tri-tip grill. Service was a little slow and impersonal but not excessively so. more

We were seated quickly but then sat without service for close to 10 minutes. Finally asked a bus boy for our server. Waiter arrives and apologizes as he didn't realize our table was his. Lame. There was obviously no management or other waiters taking notice. None the less...he stepped up his efforts and serves us decently from there. The food... more

I've had clam chowder everywhere along the east coast....Boston, Providence, Main...etc...and BRAD'S consistently had the BEST clam chowder I have had...anywhere. period. NOT too thick, NOT overloaded with potatoes, LOTS of clams, not too salty....Perect. We go up to Paso 6 or so times a year..and ALWAYS stop at Brad's for my chowder fix. Decent service, good value, great atmosphere... more

I ordered their $7.60 Tri-Tip sandwich to-go last weekend. They make it right in front of you in the traditional barbecue pit. It consists of only the bun and a mound of meat. They give you the sauce on the side, which is not really needed because the pit smokes the meat to perfection! more

My friend loves clam chowder (I don't eat it). We went on an informal search for the best in the area, based on recommendations from friends. The chowder style in this area seems to be exclusively New England Style (cream based). Brad's was the best. The clams were tender, the spices commingled well, it was piping hot, and all the... more
