It was everything i would expect from a small town restaurant. I thought the food was very good. The service was average. We ate outside on the patio, inside looked a little too dark. Very friendly waitress. Our food came very quick. I don't really have any complaints. It was a very nice break from driving. I would eat here... More

We were staying in Myers Flat during our stay to see the Humboldt Redwoods. We'd been out all day (actually, we'd driven up to Eureka) and got back to the area too late to get dinner in the next town over (Miranda). We were on our way to Garberville and in passing through Phillipsville saw the restaurant, that it was... More

I have to admit that we did not have high hopes about this place but the reviews here seemed mostly good. We drove by and missed the place once, doubled back and went inside. The server did not seem that excited about our being there but once we warmed up to each other, she was pretty entertaining and the food... More

This is rustic and roomy place in tiny town of Phillipsville, on Avenue of the Giants. Don't try to get in and out in a hurry; when we go there, we often phone in our order so we don't have to sit for 40 minutes. Now with a large group, you might not mind the wait. Large bar area, friendly... More

The food and service were great. We ate there 2 nights in a row and all the food was awesome. Chile Relleno was my fav but we also had enchiladas, tacos and a few other items. Margaritas are out of this world...on the rocks

This is a Mexican Restaurant in an odd setting. The building, set among the redwoods, looks like it should be an old-school classic inn restaurant...the insides are all done in redwood. Nevertheless, this Mexican restaurant has great food. Service was great...and the margaritas were delicious!

I have eaten here three times, once each of the past 3 August trips to the Redwoods. The food is average Mexican, the prices are a little high (perhaps because they are isolated and either can charge more because of no competition or because of the cost of delivery?) and the service is really bad. That being said, I always... More

We ate in a Sunday night because the local (and highly rated) restaurant was closed. Actually we were pleasantly surprised, particularly with the food which was fresh and tasty. The place wasn't busy when we ate (a large group walked in just as we were finishing) and the service was ok, though not particularly friendly. The price was reasonable considering... More

Ate here on a Sunday evening and the place was busy but we were seated pretty quick for a party of 7. Had to order drinks at the bar as the waitress was non existent after dropping water off on the table. Extensive menu for foods and decent drinks menu but was disappointed with the food overall, pretty average at... More
