Quaint place for great food, Zagat rated for a reason. Welcoming helpful staff, and charming atmosphere. Sit outside under umbrellas, look at the river or fine inside. Superb salads, soups, quiches, sandwiches and beverages. One if the best places in Petaluma to visit quietly and enjoy a lunch. We will be back. Also serving a great breakfast. !!!!

A nice location with a patio and nice interior space. They have delicious pastries and tasty quiche. Everyone is nice and prices are reasonable. An excellent breakfast or brunch spot.

The delicious homemade asparagus soup was so yummy, and my turkey sandwich with organic greens was a delight. The seating is tight in some areas but they do offer some outdoor seating as well. It was very busy so we had to sit on stools at a long wall table to share with others, but we were very happy with... More

A biz associate treated me to lunch at Water St. Bistro. What a jewel in Petaluma. Stephanie the owner makes you feel so at home. The smoked duck and peach salad was wonderful. The Meyer lemon and rosemary bread was so refreshing. Water St. is a repeat for sure on my next trip to Petaluma.

My friend and I happened upon this delightful place on our way to our vacation in Mendocino. We had been on a plane for 6 hours, waited for a rental car for 2 hours, got lost in traffic in San Francisco for 2 hours so we were starving and wanting some good food. Wow! We had the freshest and tastiest... More

We were lured into this cafe while walking in the rain (long sought rain after drought) - we were looking for a place to have brunch and could definitely smell something good from outside. I had potato parsnip soup - delicious! Sandwiches were served with salad. All sweets looked tempting. Many locals were enjoying food and their own time engaging... More

The owner Stephanie has a warm welcome for all her guests and the food consistently delicious! Whether you stop in for a breakfast treat with coffee or a quiche for lunch, you will not be disappointed by the food or the service. WSB is perfectly situated on the Petaluma River where you can enjoy a glass of wine in the... More

friendly service, and relaxed outdoor seating. Sometimes it gets very crowded and the line up to order is a bit congested. I would prefer the bathroom to be in the restaurant and not have to get the key to go down the hall to use the restroom. Nice place to sit outside, enjoy the river, visit with friends and be... More

Well situated off the main road, The Water Street Bistro is worth the stop. It is open for breakfast and lunch as well as Friday night in the summer. The food was made of fresh seasonal ingredients and everything we had was delicious. You can seat outside and have a view on the river.

To elaborate on previous reviews, we enjoyed what we ordered more than our first impressions led us to believe. The crab chowder was alright but it was hard to steal the show from the tasty bread it came with! We had the pork loin and brie sandwich (absolutely tender and juicy, paired with yummy mustard), the smoked duck salad (pitted... More
