I am not from Petaluma but stayed for a week on business. What a great place to have breakfast. Sit at the counter, read the paper, eat a good hearty breakfast, have some conversation if you like, and always have a full cup of coffee. Thanks Ladies

Daughter and I visited on a Monday morning about 8am, there was a small wait. There are lots of charming places to have breakfast in Petaluma, so I wouldn't wait too long, but 10-15 minutes is fine and the food was very good. My daughter had a skillet, which was very good and she took half of it home. I... More

My Aunt took me to this wonderful diner style restaurant saying that it had the best breakfast in town, while I have little experience with other breakfast places around Petaluma, I think she is right. The food was excellent the portions were large, and the staff was very friendly. Service was quick and for the quality, the food arrived quickly.... More

Home-made biscuits, locally made corned beef hash, good coffee, and nice homey atmosphere. Drawback: if you get there mid-morning, especially on weekends, there is a long wait.

We have had breakfast/brunch twice a week all over Marin and Sonoma counties for the last 15 years. Hallie's is one of the best. Food is fresh, portions generous. Very good coffee. Refills without asking. Service is personal, but maybe a bit slow when they are busy. However, the food is worth waiting for. We had a potatoes skillet, omelet,... More

Sort of a small place that we only found by chance because there were a lot of people in front. With a lot of people in front, and figured the food must be good. So we went in, and found a place to sit. We ordered after getting some coffee, and waited, waited, and waited for our food. Our food... More

The food was good & came fast. My girls both had mouse cakes & loved them. My carb cake Benny was very tasty. The service was very good. I will go back!!

We would eat at Hallie's after 11 am to avoid the long waits in the early mornings. We found this terrific diner via my daughter's review on Yelp and eating at Hallie's is worth the time and effort. My husband, although a good cook who can whip up a mean omlette, is always on the search for a fine breakfast... More

Hallies is not the only place to eat breakfast in Petaluma. But It is one of the Best experiences of eating Breakfast In Petaluma! Possibly Sonoma. Don't be deterred by the 20 min wait outside . (Mediocre breakfast nooks do not have lines of smiling happy customers) . The return of regular customers clearly demonstrates their excellence . The alure... More

First visit breakfast was so-so, toast burned a bit, eggs overcooked. Coffee was good. Second visit was slightly better but potatoes were barely warm. Service is good. Waitresses warm though new trainee could not get it together. Alternatively - Suggest Casino 101 for better food and service at least for breakfast and go before 9am for $7.00 breakfast.
