Just what you want your neighborhood breakfast and lunch place to be

If you want a basic breakfast or lunch, competently prepared, reasonably priced, friendly and attentive service, comfortable booths, easy parking, and a classic breakfast/lunch diner feel, this is the place. I'm partial to the greek omlette for breakfast, and BLT for lunch. Just down the street from me, and I find myself defaulting to Hallie's on a regular basis. If... More

I visited Hallie's today for lunch with my son-in-law, one of their regulars. I judge restaurant food on how it compares top things I make myself. Their meat loaf is far superior to mine. The home fries are the real deal and equally delicious. I look forward to the next visit.

Love this restaurant! Great food, reasonable prices, extremely friendly staff and, a huge thing to me, extremely accommodating to people in wheelchairs. It was my best friend who is wheelchair bound that introduced me to Hallies and since then Hallies has been my go-to place for breakfast in Petaluma. Boring that this is my go-to? I don't think so because... More

I measure breakfast restaurants based on how they compare to the Bob Evans Restaurants back in the midwest. Hallie's was even better than Bob Evans. The cornmeal pancakes, eggs, and grilled polish sausage were excellent. The service was excellent, too.

Revisited Hallies after 10 years and ordered my favorite dish. Corned beef hash with eggs on the side. Rye toast and a dollop of sour cream. They did not disappoint. Just as I temembered. Absolutely amazing! Can't say anything about other menu items. I've only ever been able to order the hash. It's just that good.

As much as Petaluma folks seem to love breakfast, we have a real shortage of decent breakfast options. I love Hallie's and it seems most folks do, so expect a wait. I prefer their savory and hearty breakfast items over their pancakes which seem to lack something (maybe a little salt?). Decent coffee, good service one one snags a table.... More

I am sharing my experience based on eating breakfast with some friends from out of town. I LOVE french toast. My favorite place to eat french toast was at Three Cooks Cafe before Bobby sold his business (which is now the new Wish Bone). I have yet to find anywhere that even came close to Three Cooks until I ate... More

Stopped here for some breakfast on our way to a beer tour, the staff were very friendly and we were seated right away. Ordered steak and eggs and pancakes, it was fast and delicious and at diner prices and atmosphere. Highly recommended for a casual and yummy breakfast with good service.

Had breakfast here today as per recommended by the hotel staff. This place was far over priced for the quality. I spent over $30 for 2 people (including me) for what I thought should have been priced only a bit over $20. Had it not been that expensive, I would have probably given this a 4 star review
