Classy Italian Place in Petaluma

We were originally planning to eat at another place for brunch but parking was a problem if the restaurant happened to be along Petaluma Blvd. My brother spotted Sugo and the place from the outside was inviting. We were lucky to get a parking spot right in front of the place. Be there early if you... read more

This place was recommended by a server at a winery we were at. You must get the bruschetta sampler/trio if this is your first visit. I would get it again on a second or third visit...the sauces on their pastas are so flavorful as well. Wines are available in 3 "sizes" and there's more than enough choices. There is a... More

A popular and crowded, dimly lit dinner spot with an attractive atmosphere. Had dinner with six. Staff was attentive and courteous. Food was fairly priced, well-prepared and presented; and served in a timely manner for each of us at peak time dining. Wine choices were also very good. Parking adjacent, though, might be dicey. Highly recommended.

We have been going to Sugo for a number of years now. My main complaint is that their menu is small to begin with, and has barely changed in all that time. Salads the same, pasta dishes the same, and the few entrees are same. They add a special or two (usually a special ravioli, pasta, or main dish). Don't... More

Whenever we need a place to take friends, family or just want a quick, good meal we make our way to Sugo. The service is great, food os fresh and well prepared with a variety that all can enjoy. Very fair prices.

We stopped here on our way home from Pt. Reyes National Seashore trip - for dinner. We found this place last year. Food is excellent, great service. Try the bruschetta trio - several choices - all yummy. Nice wine selection. We had pasta dishes - delicious. Yes, we will return. If we lived here we would be regulars. Loved the... More

From the moment we sat down for our lunch, the young woman who waited on us was the epitome of ungraciousness. She was not directly rude, but her entitled attitude spoke loud and clear -- we were a dull and boring burden to her. When I asked a question about the menu, she was far less then helpful; she never... More

We went to another spot recommended to us but seating was not unavailable. We had seen Sugo during a walk so went there and were able to get one of the last tables, The food was good quality and reasonably priced. Give it a try.

My friends love this place! It's great for Italian and it has some really good pasta dishes. It is a favorite lunch spot. Some tables are high bistro type and others low. Petaluma has several Italian restaurants to pick from with all different atmospheres. This one is nice but more for get togethers with friends or one friend...not really romantic... More

We visited Sugo for dinner in September and lunch in October. The food was excellent both times. The menu appears to be the same for lunch and dinner. The risotto is outstanding. We tried the butternut squash risotto and the Italian sausage risotto. Both were among the best we've had. We also tried the angus burger which was also excellent.... More
