My friend and I thought we could smell great food before we entered this restaurant. Apparently, the wonderful aroma came from another restaurant close by. Despite the dry beef rib and small portion of BBQ chicken, we enjoyed our waiter Eddie and a reasonably priced wine. We had just arrived in town and were hungry. The bar looked inviting and... More

We have not eaten here for a while and the first thing we notice was that the wild bull ride is gone. (Insurance issue I guess) But the food is still great, the portions ample. It could be a little pricy but you get what you pay for and all of it taste great. There was five of us and... More

Food looked sterile and tasted like it came from Mickie-Ds. Servings were less than generous. They offered a "Bloody Mary" salad dressing with our salad--very odd tasting. Very odd interior design design too. This area-- central coast --is supposed to be known for BBQ but this place cannot stake a claim to any part of this fame. Skip it.

altho were didn't expect much because it's right at the freeway exit with a bunch of other average restaurants, we were still a little disappointed. I had the mini tri tip which was really so tough I could barely bite it, and the mini pulled pork which had a slightly "off" taste. The onion rings had tons of breading.. My... More

Hi! I ate solo at Big Bubba's after driving up from Southern California. I ordered a 16 oz beer, and a tri-tip salad. The salad was enormous. I could not finish the salad or the beer. The server, while friendly, should have told me that they have half portions (which would have saved me money, and would make more sense... More

It is a good place to get a burger or a tri-tip sandwich but the ribs are always a little tough and the chicken a little dry. The volume of the never-ending country music could be toned down a little.

Big Bubbas is consistent. The beers are cold and the food is great. The service is always top notch and its location next to the holiday Inn is quite convenient. Even though the name is BBQ.. it has a diverse fair that all can enjoy.

The BBQ sauce and meat were very good-tasting. You can get a free meal on your birthday. Service OK. Beef ribs not very meaty, but lots of them. Music so loud and distasteful I will not go there again.

The burger came close to raw. We realized after it had arrived, that the waitress hadn't asked our preference for how the meat should be cooked. My salad had too much water floating at the bottom of the bowl. I got a French Dip, and the meat had a bit too much stringy gristle for my taste. At first I... More

We had an early lunch on Saturday. The place was quiet. Staff was friendly and the place was clean. Had the BBQ pulled pork, very good, the bread was soft and fresh but not mushy. The home made chips are to die for. Definitely will stop in again whe in town or just passing through.
