Great breakfasts and outstanding milk shakes! I like that you can order the large plates or opt for smaller ones ... this is great for portion control. We always make sure to get coupons from Black Western Black Oak, although the meals are very affordable.

Good hometown sort of place. Food is good and lots of it. Eat here only if hungry. Good biscuits and gravy, omelets

We stayed at the Best Western next door. We ordered traditional breakfast food including fluffy pancakes, bacon, omelets, oatmeal and fruit. Everything was fresh and well presented and with large portions. The fruit order was lovely with several kinds of melon, grapes, oranges, grapefruit, etc. The wait staff was friendly and attentive and we felt we had great service. I... More

By average, I mean nothing special. So many reviewers here seem impressed with Margie's portion sizes, well, that WOULD be awesome if the food measured up. Instead we get large portions of food that's just so-so. I travel through this area a lot & have been to Margie's a few times before this trip. Ive had a sad looking &... More

Margie's is our go to choice when we want to get in and out quickly, usually for breakfast. Portions are HUGE. If you go on an event weekend, you may find you will wait a little while, but because service is fast and attentive, it typically isn't very long. Food is pretty good.

We were traveling through Paso Robles and consulted Trip Advisor for a decent restaurant nearby and up popped Margie's. I was a little shocked at the prices when I opened the menu -- $20.95 for chicken fried steak! I had eaten in some pretty sophisticated restaurants in Monterey/Carmel with more haute cuisine that didn't cost much more than this diner... More
