This is our favorite Japanese restaurant in San Luis Obispo County: small, unassuming but with good service and great food. I am not a sushi fan but I am told that the sushi here is great. I like the tempura, my husband likes the dinner A. They have a small but nicely chosen wine list too.

Got into town craving some sushi and Goshi did not disappoint. Crab hand rolls were fresh and delicious. We split one of the sushi specials for two that includes the chef's choices and it was quite good. Service was prompt and friendly. Nice cold beer too!

Goshi Japanese Restaurant is the best Japanese eatery in Paso Robles and Atascadero. They focus on traditional Japanese cuisine with some non-traditional offerings. This is not the place for those who like the over-the-top fusion combinations. Seating at the sushi bar is ideal for those watching the precise, skilled preparation of fresh sashimi and sushi. Some of the chefs have... More

This is a well run sushi place in a complex of building near what appears to be once the railway station. It looks to be family owned with the owner very eager to please. There are many lunch combinations with some being built your own options. The seafood is super fresh and beautiful looking. It is of good value and... More

Being a Native of SoCal I wouldn't normally venture to eat remote locale sushi fare but I did so in Paso and was pleasantly surprised. The sushi was good and they also served a very nice asahi black beer.

Fresh Fish, pleasant atmosphere, and a friendly Sushi Chef all made for a fantastic experience at this little Railroadside Gem! We enjoyed the many types of fish available on our visit, and tried some new things. Every piece was amazingly delicious, and very fresh. The Sake selection is also good and we enjoyed that withour meal. Service was outstanding, polite... More

This is by far the best place for authentic Japanese food. The fish always smells fresh, the service is good, and the prices are decent.

My husband and I had the best experience at Goshi. The food, the atmosphere, and the service made a great anniversary dinner. The sushi was great, especially the Robert's Roll. Our server was very knowledgable and nice. This is a place we will be definitely visiting again.

We have been going to Goshi's since the day it opened. The sushi is always fresh, presented with a decorative flair. The menu is extensive enough to give the sushi lover a good selection. There is also a large selection of tempura dishes, to please those less adventurous. The staff is friendly and helpful as well. The location is just... More
