Only if you want chef's choice 4-5 course menu

We enjoyed our dinner, but we were disappointed that Laurent's highly touted tasting menu is offered only on a "let the chef surprise you" basis. Most guests went that route, but in our experience, surprises are not always delightful... If you do go that route, by all means add the wine... read more

Happened to be in Paso Robles during one of the major events - The wine festival. During these special weekends they don't offer the ala carte menus. So you have to go with the 4 or 5 course price fixed offering. Outstanding but you have to be adventurous. The Chef picks and prepares each course especially for each table/guest. You... More

We came here for a long weekend and hit up four popular restaurants and this was our favorite. They really push you into the tasting menu. There is a sample menu but nope, it's chef's choice. "Tell us what you hate". Well, I didn't want duck and I'm gluten free so... let's do it! Best choice ever. Some ridiculously good... More

Classic French cooking with French and local wine list. The steak and French fries is one of my favorite lunches. Chef Laurent does French peasant food at lunch, changing the special every week. The best deal for dinner is the fixed-price four- or five-course meal with wine. Last night I had scallops in a red wine reduction sauce for the... More

We hadn't been here in a few years and had forgotten how good it was. We did the tasting menu with wine and were encouraged to give some guidelines and then trust the chef. We did make a few requests like no mushrooms and please chocolate for dessert, but from there, trust the chef. We had an awesome 4 courses... More

We came here on a Saturday evening based on our innkeepers' recommendation. The host quickly informed us that we would be enjoying a 4 course tasting menu - not something we typically do, but we were feeling adventurous. The food and the wine pairings were delicious, cooked well, and accompanied by great service. A nice French gem off the town... More

If you are visiting Paso Robles, this is a must go to for supper. We had the chef's surprise tasting menu with accompanying wines and we were not disappointed with any of it. Both the chef and Sommelier are at the top of their game. Simple food, bursting with flavour and amazing wines to accompany each delicious tasting menu course.... More

Ok....I am really into food and wine..worked in restraunts myself and reseived culinary training at Culinary Institute of AMERICA, and dined at many to the finest restraunts in the world. Chefs like Keller, Robuchon,Savoy. I say this not to brag but to put in perspective my review. Came in late like 8pm..on a saturday night and while crowded they extend... More

We have eaten here many times on our annual wine tour of Paso Robles. Generally, we have loved the restaurant and been extremely enthusiastic about recommending it. No more. We ate there a few weeks back. We had a reservation and walked into an empty restaurant. They put us near the kitchen--the least desirable table. We asked to move to... More

We arrived on Saturday with a group of 15 - totally unplanned. (Our flying club landed at Paso Robles after diverting from another fogged in airport.) The restaurant handled our large group well - we outnumbered the other patrons in the restaurant. The food and atmosphere are fantastic. The menu had a number of excellent traditional items as well as... More
