Thought the rainy day would leave plenty of parking, but no. Had to park at library several blocks away. Had lunch with former manager of Madonna Inn. We were both pleased. Upscale Spanish/Mexican fare. Good service. Would definitely repeat. Other friends also recommend.

We ate at Estrella on two different nights of a recent visit to Paso, and especially enjoyed our first dinner there. We concentrated on the tapas portion of the menu rather than the full-blown entrees. Their version of a Caesar salad is unusual and very tasty, and they have these crazy good masa cakes topped with shredded pork and other... More

We stopped by for lunch while traveling through to SLO. We were very pleasantly surprised by the vibrant and charming downtown. Estrella's has excellent food reminiscent of the food down in central Mexico. Layers of flavor. We shared shrimp tacos, chile relleno and the trio of guacamoles (traditional, chipotle, and habanero). All was delicious and the service very nice and... More

The yucca fries were an unexpected favorite. And the pork empanadas were little bites of perfection! Don't forget to order their sangria ;-)

Food and staff are both wonderful! The wine list is interesting too, and not overly pricey! Before decor also:-) The food though is the star!

This is our favorite restaurant in town. We've never been disappointed with anything we've ordered - the menu is varied and delicious. Their take on chili relleno is superb! The service is excellent and the atmosphere delightful. It's a great place to bring friends, have special gatherings, or just enjoy a meal out.

I was with two friends when we dined on Saturday. We stuck to the tapas and salad section of the menu. Fair portions, unique flavors and fantastic wait staff. Be sure to get the Yucca Fries and their chips and bean salad (brought to table like bread would be in many restaurants. I enjoyed the scallop ciopino and my friends... More

Tapas and more! All 12 of us had something different, and all of us loved our entrees! Great appetizers/sharing plates, great service and very organized treatment of our large group.

We chose the restaurant for the food and we were pleasantly surprised at the wonderful decor once you are inside. This was our second night in Paso and last night my husband had the better of our meals, but tonight turned out to be my turn. I had the Kahula glazes pork chop. It was very tasty, could have been...
