Pappy McGregor's Pub & Grill has an atmosphere that blend's Irish and American traditions. Always lively, always fun and always busy, Pappy McGregor's is just the right place for you to have a cold pint, eat a great meal, and meet up with new and old friends. Our executive chefs, brothers Chris & Martin Beckett, have created an extensive menu made up of gastro pub quality items. We strive for every plate to be a work of art that's better than any other typical pub. Our creative menu is made up of comfort food favorites like the Prime Rib Sandwich, Steak & Shrooms, Farm Stand BLTA, Grilled Cheese, and Tomato Bisque. We also feature a wide variety of seafood dishes like the locally famous fried Calamari, Raw Blue Point Oysters, Fresh Halibut & Chips, and Oysters Rockefeller. Our Prime Rib Chili and Lobster Mac and Cheese have both won multiple awards in local food competitions. Pappy McGregor's Pub & Grill proudly features fully stocked bars, with more than 150 sprits, imported beer, and an extensive craft beer list. We support our local wineries and feature only local wine from San Luis Obispo Co. Come by for our daily Pappy Hour or join us for our multiple weekly evening specials and events like Pub Trivia Night, Karaoke, and Live Music. Pappy McGregor's always has the big games on with our plenty of TVs you won't miss a second of your favorite team. When you're in downtown Paso Robles, stop by Pappy McGregor's Pub & Grill and see why we have been voted Best Bar/Pub for 8 straight years. You won't be disappointed no matter if its food, drink or a good time you are looking for.

Food good, service ok

Went to eat a late lunch, around 2pm. Wasn't too busy. The food was really good but the server disappeared after we got our food. We asked for an extra napkin and she never came back. But if I'm ever back in this area I would consider eating here again.

So glad you enjoyed your meal overall, but I'm sorry to hear that your server disappeared! It definitely sounds like there was a miscommunication of some sort, because we never want to leave you hanging like that. I hope you'll give us another chance to put our best foot forward! The kilt wearing staff was very good and attentive. Sat at the bar and couldnt decide on what to eat. Everything I seen served was well presented. Be careful about Hot Wings. Franks Hot Wings are hotter than Franks Hot Sauce. So beware. Nice plsce with a cool crowd of people

It's wonderful to read that our kilt-wearing staff took care of you well! I appreciate your compliments on our food, and hope the wings weren't too spicy for you. Our door's always open if you find yourself looking for a drink or a bite to eat in the future! Until next time, Donovan, Owner More

Pappy McGregor's has done it right. The atmosphere definitely gives you the feeling you are in an authentic Irish pub. The food was outstanding as well as surprising. I had the buffalo chicken sandwich which was amazing!

Most of the restaurants around the park in downtown Paso Robles post their menus. On a recent one-night in town while passing through the area, my husband and I took it upon ourselves to read most of them. So many choices - and many that look wonderful; but weary from the road and dressed in comfortable car clothes, I was... More

We feel so lucky that you chose us out of all the other options downtown! Glad to hear that the steak and 'shrooms hit the spot -- hope we can lure you back into our neck of the woods for more very soon. Thanks again for sharing such a fantastic review! Cheers, Donovan, Owner More

The bar was a little loud, but it's too be expected with a bar. The Ahi Tuna Egg Rolls were awesome. The Cubano sandwich had pulled pork, which was a little dry for my taste. They have a nice collection of local craft beers, as well as an outdoor patio. Not bad for a quick pop in or to watch... More

Glad you loved your egg rolls, Adam, although I'm sorry to hear that you were a bit disappointed with your sandwich. Hope you'll be back to see us soon to sample even more of the menu! Cheers, Donovan, Owner More

A casual establishment off the square. Great helpful friendly staff with big smiles. Lunch fare was good but not quite what we anticipated from the menu description. Will try again and ask more questions. Looking forward to their live music.

So glad you got a chance to check out your place, but sorry to see that your lunch was just so-so, especially when you had high expectations. That's definitely not what we want to hear, and we encourage you to return and ask all the questions you desire! Our staff is always eager to help you find something on the... More

5 of us went for dinner one night. Good selection of tap beers. 1 person had a strip steak, very nicely done with great brussel sprouts. 1 had chili and said it was very good. 1 had local fish and chips that they seemed happy with. 1 had the leak soup and wasn't thrilled with it and I had a... This is a great place for casual dining and fun. Consistently friendly staff and solid, good food. Give the steak & shrooms or mac and cheese a try. Drinks are well prepared. This is our go to place.

For some reason there is no way they can split a check for 2 couples this is a huge issue. The food is just ok and for some reason the staff is not allowed to take care of much of anything without having to talk to a manager that never seemed to come by

A nice friendly pub with amazing burgers. I love to have a few Firestone Walker beers here every time I'm in Paso Robles from Florida. The staff is always friendly and helpful. If you can catch the band Soundhouse playing here (a few times a year), you'll be in for a treat!
