I had lunch there and was very impressed with the freshness of the fish and the creativity of the chef in making rolls. The temperature of the fish was perfect, not too cold and the fish was very fresh. I had the sunshine roll and it was really tasty. The staff were all very friendly and welcoming. Highly recommend it!

The sushi is always great and consistent in flavor and presentation. Have tried so many different rolls and dishes. The Staff is pleasant and they are willing to please if possible. The atmosphere is casual. Prices are reasonable. I don't mess around with Sushi, must be fresh or I won't eat it. I'll pay more for that guarantee.

This is a real sushi restaurant, and if I want a lunch or dinner of sushi that's totally fresh and superbly presented I head for Yanagi. We've been there several times and are never disappointed!

Visited on a thursday night for hibachi. Mean included salad, soup, and steamed rice. Fried rice costs $2.50 extra. Lame! Food was prepared slowly, but was enjoyable. No atmosphere to keep patrons intrigued. Typical experience. Nothing special.

My wife had a maki roll (sushi) and salad (both OK); and I had a combo, as I usually do -- this time with sesame chicken and teriyaki beef. The sesame chicken was spicy, and slightly well done (it's deep fried), but tasted pretty good. My wife said: "Hey, didn't you order teriyaki beef instead of chicken." I said: "Well... More

Recently in Paso Robles for a class, needed a place to grab a quick bite to eat and was directed here by locals. Got right in, the restaurant was clean, and the food was good. The chef was friendly and entertaining while putting a new flavorful twist on some favorite roles.

I've been to Yanagi's both on Saturday and Sunday. Always great very fresh sushi and the chefs are wonderful. I recommend the spicy tuna roll and the yamy yamy roll (we call it the yummy yummy roll). This is not the least expensive sushi place in town, however they offer consistently high quality, fresh sushi. The place does get packed... More

Loved that it was crowded, lively, bustling and fun. Also loved sitting at the sushi bar ordering directly from the chef. Also loved the food, first rate, and we eat at lots of Japanese restaurants so we expect great food.

My roommates in college and I loved celebrating our birthdays here. My husband and I recently celebrated a promotion here. Never disappoints; consistent recipes at all of the restaurants. Very friendly service; once they brought me the wrong order and changed it without question or charge. Genuinely fun place!

I talked my husband into going there a second time and wish I hadn't. I didn't care for anything and won't be going back. I guess it's just not my type of food.
