A good meal and a good time...

While visiting my daughter and her husband in LA she recommended we go to Pasadena for lunch. She has eaten at a number of restaurants in the town and when she suggested this place for paella I was ready willing and very able. They offer paella four ways - my wife and I both had the surf and turf... read more

This is just another loud bar, and with low class people. Not a good place to hang out. There are many better places in Old Pasadena to choose.

We went for Happy Hour and were delighted to see that they had paella as an appetizer, for only $5, and it was just great. Serving size was perfect for one. Great location in Old Town with free 90 minute parking half a block away.

Stopped in for some Tapas before a film @Laemelle. The cool thing was due to the time Tapas was half price! We tried: Serrano Ham wrapped Dates,Grilled Asparagus, olive sample, empanadas, rustic bread.. All were a little below average. sangria-hmmm horrible. I felt bad for the lonely tattered slice of orange thrown in the glass. We should have went down the... More

Hey Tiff, how was.... The Food: The food we ordered was average (pizza, mussels, pasta). Best thing was the pizza! I would consider going back. The Scene: Outdoor seating available, cool vibe. The Drinks: Nothing to write home about (or even Spain) The Location: Prime, busy street, full of energy, vibrant. Surrounded by clubs The Parking: LOT The Service: Great,... More

After visiting the Huntington Gardens we ended up in Pasadena looking for a light snack and margaritas. This was a great find. We sat out front and were waited on promptly. We had several items from the tapas menu and each of us ordered a skinny margarita. So refreshing and tasty. This was a nice place to sit and visit... More

With so many restaurants to eat at in Pasadena, you have to have good food. I was so disappointed with my meal. I had the ahi tuna and the tuna was cold in the middle. Not warm but cold. My wife ordered a salad with dressing on the side and add onions. Guess what, dressing was on and no onions.... More

Nice outdoor seating on the main street of Old Town Pasadena, Bar Celona used to have very good tapas and a nice selection of cheeses and olives. I went there last week after not having been in about a year, and the menu was more limited, the service slow, and several homeless people stopped at the table to ask for... More

Typical bar one finds in the US is the sports bar with multiple television showing american footbal (they use hands mostly) or baseball. We are very glad we found one that is not a sports bar, with good wine selection and delicious tapas, with music not loud enough to carry conversations for our 40 year old + ears. Excellent service,... More

Went to Bar Celona with my husband Saturday night. What a fun place! Not boisterous, loud fun (think TGIF commercial) but sangrias and shared plates or lucious, fruity tempranillo fun. Beautiful setting, attentive staff. Everyone from patrons to employees seemed to be having a good time. Such a great atmosphere for a good meal. The menu offers both hot and... More
