Yummy, but be prepared to wait

Went we there for breakfast Saturday morning about 10 a.m. Potential wait was 45-55 minutes, so we decided to wait for counter seating (first come, first seated). This option took ~30 minutes but it was well worth the wait. I had the "ABC" omelet cooked soft and it came out perfect. Hubby ordered... read more

Was here on a very busy Sunday morning of Memorial Day w/e. Waited a full hour for a table! Yikes! But, we were warned there would be a wait if you are not there early. There are several places to sit outside while you wait. When we finally were seated, we could see why everyone waits. The place is so... More

We enjoy going to Russell's and think their food is great. We had to wait a while on a busy Saturday for a late morning breakfast, but that's expected in Pasadena's Old Town. The attentiveness of the wait staff was nice, we'll be returning soon.

Russell's is a great place for breakfast. Get their early so that you don't have to wait. The portions are huge. Your coffee mug will always be full. Mark sure that you order bacon. It is thick and delicious. Their hamburgers are good too.

I've never had a hamburger there, found other stuff on the menu more interesting. This time it was a salmon stir fry with fresh vegetables cooked perfectly.

Used an egg bread for their french toast. I try to order this dish in most places to get a comparison. I liked this french toast the best. My wife has the veggie burrito which was ok and lacked flavor. The bloody Mary's were just ok. Had a weird flavor to them.

One of the best selections of freshly made breakfasts you can get. You often have to wait for a table but never for long and it is always worth the wait!!

I wanted a quick bite, my spouse wanted a full dinner and we were both well satisfied at Russell's. How many places can you get a great burger and tasty beef bourguignon on the same menu? The meal was so good we stopped by for breakfast the next morning. There was a short wait even at 10 on a weekday... More

We've walked past Russell's many times, never stopping before. Last week we had an early dinner there, and it was great. This is an old time city diner, with both counter space and booths. There are reproductions of various art masterpieces (think Vermeer, Van Gogh, Klimt and others) on the walls. The music is comfortable and relaxing, as was the... More

The counter is 1st come 1st served. That's they way we did it as we didn't want to wait 40 minutes for a table. The food was great, served quickly, hot and fresh. Despite the number of patron's waiting the staff didn't seem to be in any hurry to turn the tables over or give people their checks. I had... More
