We were staying in the nearby Marriott and tried Russells for dinner and breakfast. It’s an interesting place – a bit like an up market diner. We really enjoyed the replica modern art on the walls and in a screened slideshow accompanied by taped classical music. Service was great and food was good on each occasion. We had a Caesar... More

Having recently posted a glowing review of breakfast at Russells, I was dismayed by this morning's meal. As previously mentioned in that post a sign indicating new ownership gave us pause, but all was fine. Not so today. Ordering simple Light Side breakfasts, my husbands scrambled eggs were seriously overcooked, brown and dry as was the bacon. My poached egg... More

Our concierge recommended Russell's for breakfast. A short wait is typical, don't let that stop you. Food was good.

Ate outside and had exceptional service and a delicious breakfast. Met friends there and we were all pleased.

Was brought here by a colleague of mine for 'Second Breakfast'. I must say I wish I could have all my breakfasts here. The food was amazing, the price was right and the service was fast and friendly. Next time I'm in Pasadena I will be stopping through again

We visited Russell's on a Saturday morning, looking for a traditional, family friendly breakfast in Pasadena. Russell's hold it's own very nicely with Marston's. Russell's is louder than Marston's and their menus are different - Russell's is a larger menu with more choices. Russell's features a greater emphasis on breakfast meats, which we thoroughly enjoyed. I highly recommend Russell's!

A nice selection of good food and very fair prices. A charming throwback to cafes of yore that oozed a friendly atmosphere and a willingness to please the customer. A great location in Old Pasadena just down the street from the Courtyard Marriott. We ate there twice and enjoyed both meals with gusto.

We arrived at the hotel late evening and the front desk recommended this as the only place available. We ended up going back since it was good, close, & quick! Burgers and salads were made to order and service was great. The art is fun and interesting.

Different diner experience awaits at Russell's. On a rainy morning, my husband and I decided to try Russells for breakfast. We are locals who, having basically ignored this cafe for years, are now realizing its delights. The rich red walls and cozy booths are background to unexpected chandeliers, reproductions of famous European art and delightful music. Mornings feel special at... More
