This is the best dish they have. The service is attentive and quick. The layout and food is better they their place in Chinatown. Soups are tops and portions very good.

My wife & I returned to Yang Chow for our 3rd visit. If anything, it was even better than our prior visits. Food is excellent, portions huge, (each entree is more than ample for 2), service pleasant and prompt, and prices low. If the OK interior was a bit more attractive, they would easily rate 5 stars. As it stands,... More

The food is excellent, the service, prompt & attentive, the price is right and the portions are enormous....each entree is easily enough for two hungry people. The lamb w scallions was superb, the chicken soong (they call it soon) served in individual lettuce cups, fine, and I will return quickly for my 3rd visit to continue working my way thru... More

Make sure to check out the chef's specialties. Particularly enjoyed the clams and the slippery shrimp. And the 'hot sauce' on the table. An unusual sesame and pepper blend that is actually quite flavorful and NOT super hot. Fine, rapid service, good parking.

We went here with family. There were 8 of us. They gave us a corner table -- we had reservations. It was a round table with a lazy susan in the middle. We ordered licorice shrimp, mu shu pork, spinach, beef and broccoli, plus several other dishes and shared around. We had spring rolls for all to start. We had... More

Hadn't eaten here in 10 years. Asked for dinner reservation @ 7 PM-we sat down @ 7:05-rare in any busy restaurant. Wait staff is not at all arrogant, as many downtown L.A, Chinatown. wait staff tend to be. Hot Sour soup-5 star///Spring Roll-4 star///Kung Pao Chicken-3 star///Slippery Shrimp-4 star Ambience is so, so--however white table cloth & clean utensils(always check/sanitation... More

I will gladly bypass PF Chang's any day for a meal at Yang Chow. It may not have as much ambience as PF C, but the Slippery Shrimp, Green Beans with Pork, Schezuan Beef and Yang Chow rice are fantastic! The service is fast and the food is hot. Try it. You'll go back for more!

We always know that we can call yang chow for an order to go if we don't feel like driving to Arcadia for sit down Chinese food. The order is usually ready in 15 minutes which gives us time to get in the car and there just as the food is packaged for us. We usually get the green beans... More

Delicious...but not as interesting an environment as PF Changs at Pacific Paseo.

A friend and I went to Yang Chow (first time for both) after reading very good reviews. We shared an order of the highly touted slippery shrimp along with another Szechuan dish. The food was hot and fresh, but spice was lacking (we asked for the food to be spicy). Even the pepper oil on the table added no flavor.... More
