Classic Italian

Stoney Point is the best italian restaurant in Pasadena. We have been dining at Stoney Point for over 15-years and have always have enjoyed the food and great service. They will make off menu items upon request. Stoney Point is a special restaurant that I highly recommend.

I went there for lunch one day and was not overwhelmed by the food. It is very nice, elegant and old world formalish. Waiters all have white shirts and bow ties, linens on the table, nice music in the evening... GREAT BAR! I have been back many times to meet friends and relax in the bar area. It is friendly,... I hadn't been in this restaurant for a number of years...obviously it had been beautifully remodeled since. The staff is very friendly, the service is prompt and courteous and the food was delicious. They start with a wonderful complimentary Bruschetta style appetizer, we than had a delicious salad with a Drizzled Balsamic and Lobster Ravioli with Cognac Sauce - wonderful!... More

My husband and I drove by this restaurant and he suggested we eat there for lunch. I agreed because it looked charming and quaint from the outside. There is a sign that says it's so good, they built a bridge to get there! It's a small little place with an old-fashioned exterior that adds to the charm once you walk... More

Spinach salad with warm brandy vinaigrette was an excellent start. Chicken breast with raisins and pine nuts was a great entree or the more tradionally Italian was spinach ravioli with pink sauce. The hazel nut gelato would have been perfect except for a few ice crystals. It was excellent in flavor. The chocolate ball with zabaglione center was also excellent.... More

This old style restaurant on Colorado south of the Colorado bridge is a hidden jewel. The decor is reminiscent of steak houses from the 50' and 60's. Full bar, and live piano after 7. Menu is Italian with steak and some other options. My friend had the lobster ravioli which was terrific. I had the prix fixe dinner ( week... More

I was invited for a birthday celebration and let me tell you, what a fantastic surprise! The ambience, the intimacy, the GREAT service, the WONERFUL food selections and the food was more TASTY than those supposedly high-end-celebrity chef restaurants. The Martini was perfect, my pasta with clams and white wine and garlic sauce could not have been better, the bread... More

My dad found this restaurant when he was looking for a place that had Cioppino, or something similar. It's off the beaten track in Pasadena, but apparently it's been there a while as there seemed to be a lot of regulars. The food was delicious, and the service was very friendly & attentive. We already want to return.

First, forget the trendy restaurants in Old Town Pasadena. Okay, some may be fine, but parking can be a hassle and they can be noisy and crowded. Stoney Point is just over the bridge on Colorado, on the way to Eagle Rock and points west. It has good parking and feels like one of those "best kept secret" intimate restaurants... More

Stoney Point has been around for a long time. I've been going for over 20 years and I have never had a bad meal. The service is out of this world. They all have been working there for many years. A Pasadena treasure
