Excellent value in a French restaurant

I am glad that I read TA reviews, because I knew that I should not expect perfect preparation or faultless wait staff. And in fact the food (four people, 9 dishes) was never perfection, and the waiters (yes, all male) were only moderately attentive and not very engaged (though it was a crowded... read more

We missed our appointment on a Saturday night due to the traffic and called beforehand to advise them. They were accommodating though the place was buzzing when we arrived. We got a table within 10 minutes of arrival and were impressed how efficient it was. We never felt abandoned all throughout the wait as the hostess (I sadly didn't get... More

We had another wonderful dinner with another couple at Cafe Bizou. They continued to offer the DineLA menu for another week and two of us did that price fixe menu and the the other two ordered off the regular menu. Do not forget to bring your own wine as they have the best corkage policy around - $2/bottle. Also, do... More

Café Bizou is an excellent choice any time but an especially good choice and value during Restaurant Week We selected the Prix Fixed dinners starting at $30 for three courses The first course was the least impressive. Both the mushrooms and the Asian Pear salad were good but neither were remarkable The trio of meats was not plentiful but certainly... More

We've dined at Café Bizou frequently. This time this was due to Dine LA. We had French Onion soup and Escargot for our appetizer. The escargot was surprisingly good. My wife had the seafood squid ink pasta which was good. I ordered the Trio Meat. The filet mignon was quite tender and short ribs tasted good too. My friends tasted... More

Fixed priced menu ($32.) had very good selection and was delicious. Entree had lamb chops, beef fillet, short ribs, and vegetables. Well worth going back. Service was terrific. Never had to ask for anything except the check.

i enjoyed dinner with friends at Cafe Bizou for the first time last Sunday evening. We were seated immediately and offered beverages promptly. Our party found that many of the entrees on the menu sounded tempting and we took a while to make up our minds, but the waiter sensed when we were ready to order without hovering. Our food... More

Nice menu selection is always a good start to a pleasant evening out. Bijou gives a nice variety from haute French to some middle-of-the-road fare for which you don't have to be an astronomical gastronomer to enjoy. I had a Seabass which was wonderfully prepared in a delicious wine sauce which added to the experience. The staff was friendly and... More
