This is a wonderful old timey diner. The food was delicious and reasonably priced. The menu was extensive enough for my family to have plenty of diverse choices, yet the size was not overwhelming. I had the chef's salad with their homemade Thousand Island dressing and it was wonderful. I also shared some pie with my daughter and it was... More

My family and I are big fans of the "Big Bang Theory. So being near Cal Tech we decided to check out the fictional characters haunts. We all shared the fresh Strawrberry and Lemon Meringue pies. They were fresh , warm and gooey. The price was I think around 5 dollars for each pie. The service was slow, when we were... More

Double-meat cheese burger reminiscent of In and Out, but better! A dive, but, who cares, the food is outstanding! I have heard the butterscotch pie is outstanding, but, when I went to order it, someone had just taken the last piece so, I tried the fresh blackberry pie . . . outstanding! Additionally, if you ask for a Coke, it... More

An old style, they've been there over 50 years, hamburger "joint" style restaurant. I liked the burger, but would have liked it better with a little less of their thousand island. Don't get me wrong, it was good. Just too much dressing, which is why the burger is "drippy" when you eat it. Do not order a cheese burger because... More

I drop by and bought a strawberry pie. Nice presentation but it was not great. The strawberry was fresh but the pie itself was not great, the crust was a flop, next time I will buy fresh strawberry and make my own.

My first impression was that I settled and I was feeling like eating something in a good old like place. I ordered the specialty of the house Hamburger and Apple pie. They were very good. Especially his original hamburger the thousand island dressing is masterpiece so tomato ketchup is not required.

While in Pasadena for a play, we stopped here for the always soooo good cheeseburgers. Be sure to order them with grilled onions! They never disappoint. Order a piece of pie too; the fresh peach when in season is divine, but all the taste-homemade fruit pies are good. They use real whipped cream, so you'll think you're a kid again... More

I went on the recommendation of a friend that has been coming to Pasadena for years. Walking in you might think the food would be lousy.... wrong! The place has a vintage feel to it, its been open over 50 years now and is one of those eating legends. I didn't veer of the name and went with a burger... More

Pie is bad. Not only is it highly overpriced (as with the drinks and the food, I just went with water), the pie tastes like fake pie. Clearly not homemade, which is far more subtle -- this is not.

Came here for a lunch meeting and got a seat right at the bar. The waitress was pleasant and funny -even though she kept forgetting our drink order. This is a no frills diner serving good burgers and even better pies. My burger was tasty, somewhat akin to a burgerville burger if I were to compare it to a fast... More
