Description: Since 1984, Parkway Grill has specialized in a seasonal, market-driven approach to cooking that incorporates diverse influences and classic French technique. Demonstrating the ultimate commitment to fresh produce, the Parkway Grill planted its own organic vegetable and herb garden behind the restaurant. Tiki Salad, Brick-Oven Baked Cambozola Pear Flat Bread, and Whole Ginger Fried Catfish are long-time favorites. The design of the Parkway Grill is a study in casual sophistication, striking a perfect balance between elegance and rustic approachability. The brick walls are adorned with elegant paintings by Millard Sheets and mixologists prepare hand-crafted cocktails at the expansive bar, an original from 1920's Chicago. Parkway's award-winning wine cellar, comprised of upwards of three thousand bottles, includes a broad selection of wines served by the glass.

I lived in Pasadena in the late 80's when it was not as upscale as it is today. My idea of fine dining was Lucky Boy down the road (didn't go this visit but it was awesome!) We wanted a nice continental place in Pasadena and Parkway Grill hit the spot. The service was attentive, but not overbearing. The bread... More

We had lunch at the bar and hang out with Kevin, a great and knowledgeable bartender!!! He recommended a great malbec for lunch that was a hit. He knows the area so any detail that you need you should just ask! The food was delicious! My husband decided for the restaurant week menu, the dates were amazing and he said... More

I had dinner here with 7 co-workers. The musty smell hit me as soon as I entered the building. My dinner was okay for the price. Our server was very accomodating and made the experience better than it would otherwise have been. With so many outstanding restaurants in Pasadena, I will probably not return.

Thought I'd check the number one spot out since I just moved to Pasadena last week.... very impressed. Dinner on a Sunday night, definitely some nicer attire is required; there's serious mood lighting, white table cloth, dressy waiters, they really want you to feel the atmosphere. But the food was really really good! And the dessert was truly excellent. I... More

If you can't get in without a reservation sit in the bar! Best bar in Pasadena. If it's lunch sit in the bar and hang with Kevin. Food is very good and the atmosphere is the best in Pasadena. We love the Catfish, but there's plenty of good food to choose from. Typical American Bistro Cuisine with lots of flavors.... More

If you are near Old Town Pasadena, and are looking for a moderately priced place for a wonderful lunch/dinner, Parkway Grill may be just the place. The menu has some very tasty items, both appetizers and entrees, has a very nice atmosphere (sans noisy kids), has wonderful servers, and is very clean. The menus are pretty extensive, with many "surprise"... More

Hit Parkway Grill for a great overall dinner experience. Career servers and bartenders, excellent food, fabulous cocktails, live music in the very popular lounge. If by chance your meal isn't 100% amazing simply let your server know and before you know it everything is right in the world. Wide variety on the menu, and they'll even create your own special... Our group had about 6 of the diverse appetizers and the were all wonderful. I had an excellent bone in New York and again it was outstanding. There is not much more to say except yes try it out!

We dined here twice, once at night when we were hurried a little, and once for brunch, which was relaxed and very enjoyable. Love the crab cake appetizer. Big portions.

In Old Town Pasadena, this restaurant has its own organic garden and great food. It seems to be a popular place. There was a good selection of menu items including some fish you don't usually see on menus: white fish, for instance. I had the lamb appetizer served with a fig chutney and fresh Canadian king salmon served with green... More
