Description: Ever-popular in the Pasadena area for the ultimate in business dinners, special-occasion dining and after-work cocktails hand crafted by the mixologists-Chop House has a broad appeal. USDA Prime Steaks, served exclusively, are aged, hand-cut daily, and perfectly seared in a 500 degree oven. Traditional steakhouse side dishes include creamed spinach, roasted garlic-mashed potatoes and massive asparagus spears. All desserts are made in-house including the signature Chocolate and Grand Marnier Souffles. 4.5 stars! Perfect choice for special occasion dinner. There's free valet parking (just tip). There are booth seatings available, and there's a private dining room as well. The service is good, and the food is delicious. Starters: They offer complimentary sourdough bread, but for $5 you can get half sourdough and half garlic bread. The garlic bread is good, but... More

Been here over 10 times....always enjoy food and service. Today, the food and service (in the end) was the best again. Shared an awesome New York with my wife , had a salad, soup, cocktail and bottle of wine and met several people at the "preparation bar" tonight. Perfect Pasadena night...except, it started with us taking a seat at the... More

We dined at the Arroyo Chop house during DineLA week. What a wonderful experience. We had the $45 DineLA menu and there was plenty of food, a three course meal that included desert. This was the best steak I have ever had in my life...

Arroyo Chop House could very well be the best restaurant anywhere. I have dined there on several occasions for several occasions. The food is worth every penny you spend for it. The staff is very friendly but the "seller" is the food. I have never been disappointed one bit. The Arroyo Chop isn't pretentious as a matter of fact they... More

Top notch quality steaks. The sides are plentiful and amazing. I also like the very good selection of wine they have.

For a "fancy" place, it's TERRIBLE! Let me sum it up by saying: really expensive (charged EVERYTHING...even the bread and side dishes that they made it sound like it came w/the meal); food was flavorless; waiter ignores you and rushed you out; waiter messed up on the orders; waiter took forever to figure out how to charge a credit card... The Arroyo Chop House has best restaurant status figured out. It's not in absolute terms the best food, best atmosphere or bar, but together, they are so good, they combine to be absolutely the best restaurant in Pasadena. From the moment you park your car at the free valet, check in with the superb hostesses, enjoy a crafted cocktail made... More

The atmosphere is great, especially the china used to serve the food. The wine list has some wonderful young wine at extremely high prices. The food is ok, except for the fish--be careful when ordering. Service was below expectations.

I came to this restaurant with my best friend and ordered the porterhouse medium rare. The service was a little slow, but I didn't mind as the conversation was great. The steak was good but the mac and cheese as well as the garlic mash was excellent. Overall, it's a winner.

We took our friends for dinner after the Rose Bowl game. We had not eaten here in several years but could not get reservations elsewhere so we came here because of the ease of parking on New Year's day and our good experiences at the restaurant next door under the same ownership. The chopped salad was good but the steaks... More
