They really know how to prepare steak - but do not miss the gratin potatoes with fresh jalapeno, you have to ask OUTSTANDING. We dined at the bar and loved it.

This is an excellent place to dine; the crowd are mostly riches of Pasadena coming in luxury cars passed to valet parking. The quality of the food is superb, the service is topnotch, and the bill will be fat. It is a very friendly environment, and waiters and tenders are super caring. I tried the veal chop, and my food... More

Had a business dinner here last night and it was wonderful. We ordered the seafood platter with BBQ shrimp, scallops, oysters, king crab legs to start. Everything on the platter was prepared perfectly and the oysters were some of the freshest oysters I've had. I ordered the cowboy ribeye medium rare for my entree, ribeye is one of those cuts... We arrived on a busy Sunday without a reservation. The hostess was extremely welcoming and kept us informed about seating while we enjoyed drinks at the intimate bar. Great bartender and lots of friendly people. Excellent place to "hang". The interior is dark and elegant. It's an energetic place. We do not like to be rushed and found the service... More

4.5 stars! Perfect choice for special occasion dinner. There's free valet parking (just tip). There are booth seatings available, and there's a private dining room as well. The service is good, and the food is delicious. Starters: They offer complimentary sourdough bread, but for $5 you can get half sourdough and half garlic bread. The garlic bread is good, but... More

Been here over 10 times....always enjoy food and service. Today, the food and service (in the end) was the best again. Shared an awesome New York with my wife , had a salad, soup, cocktail and bottle of wine and met several people at the "preparation bar" tonight. Perfect Pasadena night...except, it started with us taking a seat at the... More

We dined at the Arroyo Chop house during DineLA week. What a wonderful experience. We had the $45 DineLA menu and there was plenty of food, a three course meal that included desert. This was the best steak I have ever had in my life...

Arroyo Chop House could very well be the best restaurant anywhere. I have dined there on several occasions for several occasions. The food is worth every penny you spend for it. The staff is very friendly but the "seller" is the food. I have never been disappointed one bit. The Arroyo Chop isn't pretentious as a matter of fact they... More

Top notch quality steaks. The sides are plentiful and amazing. I also like the very good selection of wine they have.

For a "fancy" place, it's TERRIBLE! Let me sum it up by saying: really expensive (charged EVERYTHING...even the bread and side dishes that they made it sound like it came w/the meal); food was flavorless; waiter ignores you and rushed you out; waiter messed up on the orders; waiter took forever to figure out how to charge a credit card...
