For a "fancy" place, it's TERRIBLE! Let me sum it up by saying: really expensive (charged EVERYTHING...even the bread and side dishes that they made it sound like it came w/the meal); food was flavorless; waiter ignores you and rushed you out; waiter messed up on the orders; waiter took forever to figure out how to charge a credit card... The Arroyo Chop House has best restaurant status figured out. It's not in absolute terms the best food, best atmosphere or bar, but together, they are so good, they combine to be absolutely the best restaurant in Pasadena. From the moment you park your car at the free valet, check in with the superb hostesses, enjoy a crafted cocktail made... More

The atmosphere is great, especially the china used to serve the food. The wine list has some wonderful young wine at extremely high prices. The food is ok, except for the fish--be careful when ordering. Service was below expectations.

I came to this restaurant with my best friend and ordered the porterhouse medium rare. The service was a little slow, but I didn't mind as the conversation was great. The steak was good but the mac and cheese as well as the garlic mash was excellent. Overall, it's a winner.

We took our friends for dinner after the Rose Bowl game. We had not eaten here in several years but could not get reservations elsewhere so we came here because of the ease of parking on New Year's day and our good experiences at the restaurant next door under the same ownership. The chopped salad was good but the steaks... More

Long wait even though we had a reservation. When finally seated, we were given a pretty crappy table by the bar. My husband's rib eye was a horrific cut of meat - almost entirely fat. The cocktails were excellent though.

Excellent from start to finish. Friendly greeting. Service team is present and polite but not over bearing. We had a table of eight. Appetizers and entrees are well portioned so try and save room for dessert ;) Would definitely go back

I like this place , good atmosphere, good food, and very good service. The only thing that spoils this place for me is the mark up on their drinks / wines. The drinks prices end up making a visit here pretty expensive so it becomes an occasional treat rather than a regular visit.

We are regular customer who loves their prime beef. Our last dinner was only $50. They waived the corkage and my wife ate two appetizers. Very reasonable.

Tonight I took a friend to the Arroyo Chop House for a birthday dinner. We had a 8PM reservation, and had no problem being seated on time. Our server was friendly, and very attentive to to the table. However, we were seated in a room with an unacceptable level of noise. We asked to be moved, but there were no... More
