Quaint Breakfast in Pasadena

I decided to get the half order of French toast with fresh fruit which was good but not the greatest French toast I've ever had. It was served with butter (unnecessary - you wouldn't be able to taste it) and syrup. Maybe I wasn't blown away because it wasn't hot when it was served to me but I did... read more

Did I mention tasty? Yes, the food is always spot-on perfect! I've been going there for years, and have always had excellent food. Seating is very tight, so persons of size might want to want for comfortable seating to become available. Patio is nice, bit chairs are tight, and traffic can't be loud during the week.

Had eggs over medium with Turkey patty. Everything was well done. Did not enjoy the eggs, potatoes, or turkey patty. Hear that they are famous for their French toast. Great service, because they made sure that the coffee was always full. Pretty inside the house restuarant with outdoor dining.

This may be the best breakfast I ever had! The omelettes and pancakes are wonderful. Great food, fast and friendly service, neat vintage building; couldn't ask for more. We liked it so much we made 3 visits during our 6 day stay.

Went for breakfast on Sunday morning and it was exactly as I expected. Sat six of us after a short wait. Friendly waitress was over promptly to take our drink order (COFFEE) which was welcomed by all the people at the table. She returned a bit later and took orders eggs benedict and various egg breakfasts which were all tremendous... More

We loved this charming place in Pasadena as a perfect spot to meet a friend for breakfast. The food choices are varied and delicious; the atmosphere is friendly. In essence:marvelous Marsten's.

Amazing. Went for breakfast and came back for lunch. The french toast everyone raves about is--totally worth it! The waitress, Shazamm, was perfect. Friendly, attentive but not overly...and she brought amazing food. Sat on porch both times-wonderful.

We tried Marston's because of other reviews we had read on trip advisor and it was definitely worth the trip. The menu is a la carte so it did get a little pricey but it was really worth splurging. We ordered a plate of fruit for the whole table and it was some of the best pineapple I've ever had.... More

Spent 4 days in Pasadena for a wedding and ate breakfast at Marstons twice because it was so good. Their version of Huevos Rancheros while not traditional was excellent with meat and beans and avocado all piled on top of tortillas. The pulled pork Eggs Benedict was outstanding and the French toast good and HUGE- large enough for 2 to... More
