On only visit to Marston's was on a Saturday morning and we got there before the queue formed. The French toast was excellent, with fruit and syrup - congrats to the chef, as it made the visit. Quite small restaurant, busy with families. Word of warning - watch your card as when I gave mine to the waitress to pay,... More

Marston's isn’t open 24 hours, which is enough to tell you this isn’t That kind of diner. It's a casual restaurant in a northeasterly cottage. Although why else would you be here except for breakfast? It's simple but clever, fresh, comfort food. Order the house special -- french toast -- four slices of sourdough bread rolled in corn flakes, and... More

Marston's has a great reputation for breakfast, so that's what we planned to order. But we arrived at 12 noon, so we missed ordering the 7 grain pancakes and eggs Benedict. However there was a delicious omelette on the lunch menu, which I ordered. It was filled with sausage, spinach, tomato, cheddar, topped with fresh avocado and a side of... More

I consider myself a breakfast foodie and my favorite breakfast place is still the Griddle, however, I met my friends at this cute, homey restaurant in Pasadena, and I am hooked on their pancake and french toast. The place looks like a tiny house. The parking is on the street and there is a small parking lot besides the restaurant.... More

Really good breakfast and wonderful service, but parking is a problem. If you can get there without having to park, it's great!

We ate here 3 out of 5 mornings on a recent trip to Pasadena and it was great every time! The French Toast with fruit is amazing, and the Eggs Benedict and Macadamia Nut Pancakes rocked as well! The portions are large and generous. We went with a group of 8, 4 and 2 and every time they took great... More

Ok, what impressed me was the fresh food. It is a neat little place. Small, cozy, and comfortable come to mind. Established does as well. It looks like someone's house from the street. Might have been at one time. Small seating area, maybe get 30 people in there, and outside for maybe 10 more. Like I said, the ingredients are... More

Four of us had breakfast on a Saturday in July. We walked over from the Courtyard Marriott 2 blocks away. My husband went over before the rest of us to put our name on the list, 20 minutes later we walked over and were called as we arrived. The place is small but efficient and friendly in order taking, serving... More

My daughter and I stopped by for a light Sunday lunch. We shared a Caesar Salad (no additions) and a Tuna Melt with French Fries. Both dishes were pretty ordinary and our waitress knew we were going to share and made arrangements for them to be plated into two portions each. Very thoughtful. Service was attentive, could not fault it.... More

Two words: French toast. Must order corn flake encrusted French toast. Wait is a little crazy on he weekends, but worth it to try at least once. Also recommend the pulled pork Benedict. Novel and delicious. Try to sit outside in the porch as it is a little dreary inside the renovated house.
