Admittedly, I don't favor mediterranean cuisine. Chicken was a medium-large portion, not that expensive, but horribly cooked. Flavorless.

For a quick dinner or dinner party, go to Zankou. We love their roasted chicken, it is moist and delicious. I don't like chicken skin, but theirs is incredible. Along with the chicken, they give you fresh pita bread, an incredible garlic sauce, and the best Hummus ever! Get the big container of Hummus, you will thank me! They also... More

I was so excited to see a Zakou near by when I moved to Pasadena. Always a good choice for great reasonable price. I get it to go.

I go here periodically though I have not in recent months. The last two times the food seemed stale. Another time I asked not to have hummus because I am allergic (seriously allergic). When I got home even though I did not have anything with hummus I tasted it on the food and my tongue started swelling. I like their... More

However, that doesn't change the fact that the chicken was dry dry dry. This is the standard garlic sauce available in many Mediterranean style restaurants, so I wouldn't go rushing over to get the chicken just because of the garlic sauce. When we complained that the chicken was dry, they didn't offer to replace it with some fresher chicken. Haven't... More

I like coming here; it's a guilty pleasure, although not too guilty about it. Falafel is a weakness, and they have a great falafel sandwich. Their chicken dishes are not too shabby, either!

We go here every time we're in Pasadena, great food for good prices. The side dishes are as good and fresh as you could ask for and they have added some extras lately....Even if all you do is take out, you will love this place and keep going back...Kudos to the owners ...by the way when will you be opening... In terms of Middle Eastern dining: Shawarma, chicken, Humus, falafel, or tabouli... Zankou offers the best inNorth America, hands-down I have not had better

The food here was just average. I had a combo kabob plate and the chicken was done very nicely and the beef was just average. My wife had the chicken kabob plate and her chicken was below par. First it was overcooked with burnt edges on most of the pieces. Strange pieces of chicken and some had parts of bone... More

The chicken is soft, moist and tasty and you can't bite into it without a big pleasure; felafel is rich and flavorful and hummus absolutely irresistible. All accompanied by a fresh salad with pleasant sour and spicy notes and a soft pita. You can have an informal dinner with your colleagues or friends or a special person and always you... More
