We were staying in Pasadena for a wedding and wanted something other than a hotel breakfast. Thanks to TripAdvisor reviews, we tried Euro Pane which we loved. Although we had a tough time ordering because they have no signs on any of their bakery goods, we ended up ordering a plain croissant with jam (very flakey, buttery, and yummy), what appeared to be an apple tart (also very tasty), and a mocha to share for about $10. We were there a bit late - around 1:00 p.m. or so on a weekend - so they were sold out of a lot of items. What they did have looked wonderful. They were friendly and helpful, if a bit understaffed. One of my most favorite morning pastry places. They also sell great brioche loaves. more
Best pastries east of the 110. Try the magnificent crokenbush which they make over the Christmas holidays. more
A lot of restaurants in the area buy bread from here and the owner has been visiting France and I'm sure other places to learn how the best bakeries practices the art of making great baked goods. Everything I've had here from pastries to baguettes have been awesome. Plenty of parking in the back too. more
Favorite place in Pasadena for fresh sandwiches, fantastic breads, and wonderful French toast on the weekends. We eat at Euro Pane several times each month because of the food and the uniformly warm reception from owner Sumi who treats guests as friends. more
