On business in LA, staying in Pasadena, I went to Maria's on the recommendation of my hotel. First, I went for dinner and tried the gnocchi (one of my favorites). It was excellent and plentiful (enough for a second meal), prepared in a light marinara sauce. After eating the leftovers two nights later I decided it was probably the best... More

GREAT food, super nice staff, jam packed on a Friday night (that's a good sign), reasonably priced, we had dinner at the bar which turned out to be the perfect place to meet and greet! Great, great food! One of the better Italian restaurants I've visited.

We were hungry for something other than mexican food, and this was a great place to go. The service was terrific. Excellent home cooked Italian food at its best. Prices were reasonable, portions were huge!. Make sure to save room for dessert, because they are amazing as well! So glad we found this place!

Maria's is our local go to for happy hour Italian. We' re usually at the bar taking advantage of their happy hour menu of entree size appetizers. However, their pizzas are also worth trying. The staff are all friendly and engaging, and we always enjoy our visits.

My best friend lives in Pasadena and we have a hard time finding restaurants on weekend nights that don't involve going into the Old Town hubbub. A long time ago I'd been to the Maria's in Encino - but I don't remember liking it this much. The ravioli were delish! My friend's from NJ and he felt right at home.... More

The food is pretty good. Like all the restaurants it has it's hits and misses. Hit is their pizza, miss is their anti-pasto chopped salad where they charge $14 dollars and there's about a tablespoon of cold cuts. But the worst part is the delivery charge. They charge $6.50 which i think is an exorbitant amount since I live less... More

Nice ambience, family friendly. Pasta was delicious, nice sauce. Service when we went was excellent. Surrounding area was strip mall - not a lot of things to do afterward unless you like bowling - wonderful upscale bowling alley nearby - or head down to Old Town Pasadena.

We go to Maria's fairly often. Not because they are great, but because there are not a lot of Italian places nearby and when you have an Italian craving they will do just fine. It looks more like a 50s diner than an Italian restaurant. I don't love their choice of decor. I wish it was more rustic. The service... More

The restaurant in east Pasadena is a good Italian restaurant with reasonable prices. The bread accompanied with balasamic vinegar and olive oil is nice and the entrees are flavorful and delicious. I have had the lasagna, shrimp fra diavolo and the caesar salad. All very good. Nice little restaurant and modest prices. A good value.

Okay place in East Pasadena, it's in a strip mall, brightly lit with pretty standard Italian fare. We ordered the meat lasagna and spaghetti with meatballs. The lasagna was fantastic, you could taste all of the flavors simmered into it -- it was served with plenty of sauce and two slices of herb bread. On the other hand, the spaghetti... More
