Description: Custom Built Burgers. This is a 'chain' restaurant with outlets in many other cities and states... but we very much like the reliability of the hamburgers!

There's something for everyone here. Park in the lot behind Walgreens where parking is free for 2 hours. Vegetarians and meat eaters alike will like this "burger" joint.

I love this place! It's a lot of fun to design your own burger and get it exactly the way you want it. They offer tons of options in regards to all aspects of a burger: the bread, meat, cheese, toppings and sauces. Most of their sauces are made in-house, along with their milkshakes. And you can really taste the... More

You go through a series of check-offs to order the burger here--how big, what cheese, toppings, trimmings, sauces, and so on. If you order a 1/3 lb., it is one patty; 2/3, it is two patties; 3/3 it is three patties. That seems strange, but if you order medium rare, each comes that way, stacked. If you ordered a single... Not as good as the one in Century City in respect to both ambiance and food quality. I do not like that each Counter restaurant has different market selections (for example, in CC I like the fig sauce with brie and Pasadena did not have that available. I was here as I had an appointment immediately following lunch. I do... More

This was the last place on my burger to eat list in Pasadena, and just coming back after splitting a 1/2 burger with pops, I wasn't that impressed. There's so many of these places now, some of these joints don't stand out as much. I would rate this even slightly below Hook, was better priced IMO. Our server messed up... More

central place close to the main shopping strret in modern Pasadena. Good burgers, clever ordering method (you fill a form), some compromises for what service is concerned (if you ask for a pound burger you are not supposed to get 3 1/3 pound burgers only because they are faster to cook).

You can built your own burger. There are 5 choices of proteins, at least 20 different cheeses, 20 different topping, 20 different sauces and 5 different bread. I also recommend the sweet potatoes. The horseradish mayo is excellent!

Good was very good and service was excellent. Not too fancy - $60 for family of four. Atmosphere was meh - a little loud and what appeared to be plastic chairs. Also the music was a bit loud but I'm old so...

We enjoyed a great burger dinner in a casual atmosphere on a Friday evening. You can build your own burger by selecting everything from type of meat, toppings, sauces. If you can't decide there's other types of burgers. My 7 year old enjoyed the kids grilled cheese with a root beer float. The 50/50 fries and onion rings were very... More

I took my son to The Counter for a causal b-day lunch, it was exactly what he wanted...a laid back setting. The patio seating was great, the low noise level was perfect, we just wanted to enjoy our burgers & relax. We walked up to The counter, the friendly host explained that one builds their burger by checking off the... More
