Okay, but not great

Good, but a little too precious for my taste. It has an attractive atmosphere, but I'm not crazy about the menu.

Outstanding in every respect. Polished and attentive service, a Hawaiian martini that is to die for and extraordinary pan Asian cuisine. Excellent and innovative offerings and a complete wine list make it a special occasion spot and a reason to think up special occasions! Valet parking is a plus.

We always dine at Roy's whenever we attend a show at the Pasadena Playhouse because it is just down the street and Roy's food and service are always great. On this occasion, we started with Roy's Canoe (veggie spring rolls, chicken satay, BBQ ribs, lobster potstickers and spicy tuna rolls), followed by main entrees of Grilled Salmon in Ponzu Sauce... I've had the opportunity to dine at Roy's five times this year and will continue to return. The staff has been terrific and the food and atmosphere are fantastic. For a nice dinner out in Pasadena I highly recommend Roy's! The food is always fresh and the wait staff is always friendly and well trained. If only other restaurants would... More

We enjoy Roy's but the location in Pasadena is always packed, noisy and very crowded. Despite this, the food is always delicious and creative. If you don't mind the frenzied, crowded scene, you won't be disappointed. Guess my age is showing.

We loved the atmosphere and the food. The scallops and the halibut were both delicious! The chocolate souffle with the vanilla ice cream were well worth the calories. Yum!

Great food great experience. Very different and unique. Outside patio seating with patio heaters. Nice inside seating as well. Full bar. Many choices of dishes. Would have to go numerous times to experience different dishes all of which I am sure you will never have tried before. Great way to dine after a pasadena playhouse performance or even just before.

Roy's is pricy for what they give you. In spite of "deals" the meal always costs over $100 for small size plates. Food is ok but not spectacular.

This restaurant is a block from the Pasadena Playhouse, so I thought it would be a good solution to the where to eat before the theater challenge. The inside vibe was too loud and noisy for me, so I opted to be seated on the pleasant outdoor patio. I ordered three appetizers and white wine. The food came out way... More
