Daughter choose the place for a change. Location is ok but parking is not. Tables a little bit small if there is more than two person dining. The food is average at the most. For one thing, the empanadas can be mixed if your interested in trying different stuffing. Spinach and cheese is worth a try. The steaks are tender,... More

I was hoping to celebrate my grandmothers birthday with a few relatives here but everything was bad from the moment we arrived. We had made a reservation for 8:45pm and when we arrived, they didn't have our table ready, made us wait outside for about 20min and they didn't even offer an apology. The waiter did not meet our expectations... More

Malbec was the perfect restaurant for a special birthday gathering. Malbec was packed for a random Tuesday evening, but it added to the ambience of the place. The staff went out of their way to accommodate the needs of our group. Recommendations for appetizers were spot on for us and set the tone for a lovely dinner. Thank you!

Malbec has a very romantic setting & feel in the evening, VERY dim lighting, at a level where you will need your smartphone flashlight to read the menu. During the day we found this restaurant's decor and setting to be quite mediocre. However, our evening dinning experience was perfect! The Churrasco was excellent, super moist, cooked to perfection and incredibly... More

I eat out quite a bit, both for business and pleasure, all over the state and even internationally, and... Malbec is one of the best ever. From the moment you step inside the vibe is warm and welcoming, and though they feature Argentine beef, they also offer pasta, salads and other items. Our meal was, well, cooked to perfection, and... Malbec was a perfect refuge for dinner on a rainy night; the curbside valet parking was a bonus. The menu is not huge, but is varied, and everything we had was perfect... Shirt steak for me and flatiron steak for him, both with interesting sauces and terrific grilled veggies. The wine list is short and heavy on the (guess what?)... More

Good Chimichuri (though I am no expert) A solid choice if you are in Pasadena, but I wouldn't drive across Los Angeles to visit. Felt locally to be a place to visit for special occasions. A solid choice for good food.

We've only been twice so far, both times for lunch. Although I don't imagine it's the first thing people think of in an Argentine restaurant, I ordered the lenguado/sole (I always order the sole if it's on any restaurant's menu). Pacific sole is more substantial than Dover sole, but it was very well prepared; and the spinach and mashed potatoes... More

My husband and I met some friends I have not seen in 13 years at this restaurant. My friend had sent me the link to check out the menu and I was immediatley a fan. So when we got there we loved the place right away. We had a Carpaccio which was out of this world - believe us, we... More

We've been here several times and we recently went again for my birthday with my nephew and his girl friend. Despite our reservation, we had to wait a bit for an outside table, which there are not a lot of of. We were offered an inside table but the noise level inside is pretty high, and it was a warm...
