We had lunch at Malbec over the weekend. We had heard great things about Malbec and decided to give it a chance. In all honesty I think a three and a half stars would have been the real rating for this restaurant, it was good, not average but not very good. We had the provoletta -it was not great, no... More

Service was prompt, food was hit and miss. Partners seafood parpadelle was amazing, my lamb was ok. Worth going back to try again.

Dined here on business over the weekend. Expect to sit for at least 1-2 hours for a full meal. We had wine, appetizer, and entrée and it took about two hours. The ribeye was juicy, empanadas were so-so. The Cheese appetizer was amazing...I would highly recommend it.

One had salmon, one - vegetarian pasta, one- ravioli, and one seafood dish. We shared a creme brûlée and a panna cotta type dessert. Both were yummy. We enjoyed our glasses of wine. We ate early evening and when we were done, the dining room was filled. It was not too noisy for conversation. I'm glad we had reservations. Our... More

Malbec was recommended to us by a friend. We were unsure of what to expect for Argentinean cuisine and the food was wonderful. The service was knowledgeable and attentive. Our friend had recommended the Churrasco al Malbec (Flat iron steak) and this dish was excellent. Meat and vegetables were all well prepared. We also tried the Salmon a la Parilla... More

Normally, we visit Malbec on special occasions. This time, however, we were meeting a couple that we haven't seen in years, a special occasion in and of itself. We walked to Malbec's and the quality of food, menu selections and service consistently met our expectations. I am gluten-free and had plenty of menu choices and the waitress was prepared with... when I come to Pasadena on business I like to come to Malbec for a nice dinner if I have the opportunity. The food is wonderful--somehow I always end up with the skirt steak with chimicurri sauce and grilled vegetables, as I did recently. The wines are all from Argentina, and are well chosen to accompany the food. Most recently... More

Loved the atmosphere and the service was very good. Interesting menu/tasty food. Be prepared to wait - maybe an hour - for dinner.
