Flemings has given us outstandingl dining experiences in the past, exceptional service and food. This recent visit was so disappointing that I doubt we will return. Hostess was pleasant, booth was nice. Our waiter started out great, had our cocktails to us in no time. It was downhill from there. Cesar salad was below average. My husband ordered the special,... Stopped by Flemings for their Happy Hour. Had heard that it was a very nice one, with good drink, food selection and a great deal. Showed up around 6pm on a Wednesday evening. The two of us walked directly into the bar and snagged the last two seats at the bar. There is also a table seating area you can... More

I went to this place in early October on a business dinner. It started really well with swift seating into a more quiet section and then we we got swift service and wine recommendations. We settled for a nice local wine and orded some starters. The starters were good, not great but still a good start. I ordered the prime... More

I am NOT a fan of steak house but we met up with our friend who is doing his fellowship at Stanford hospital and told him to pick a place which was here. We wait outside for him and look at the menu...my mouth was watering. Valet parking guy was talking to us giving us the inside scoop about the... More

I've been here for a business dinner with more than 30 people. The filet was really good and salad too. Relevant californian red wine, really good dessert.

The restaurant is located at the Stanford Shopping Center, right off El Camino Real. It was renovated with modern décor. This is an upscale steakhouse, but the clientele is mixed. Some are very casual in shorts and t shirt, several families with small children, and then some dress in suits and ties, elegant cocktail dress and to die for high... More

I read lots of places that this chain does a good job catering to gluten free eaters and Celiacs (ie does a good job with cross contamination). I called ahead to inquire, and Chef Jay called me back (Palo Alto location). He was very informed on cross contamination and knew right away what items would be safe. He took his... More

I only wished I was more hungry and in a position to take home leftovers. This is along the lines of McCormicks, Metropolitan Grill (Seattle), or other famous eateries specializing in excellent aged beef, superior service, and a strong wine list.

After negotiating all the detours and the closed streets due to ongoing construction around the Stanford Shopping Center, we finally arrived at this place and found the interiors quite inviting and relaxing. It was after 5 pm and all the Happy Hours tables were taken, so we sat outside at the patio section. I was with my brother and a... More

We entertained clients at Flemings, all in a good meal enjoyed by all. Starting at the bar the bar man did a good job as we waited for the party, as the dinner crowd came in it was clear that they were understaffed. Moving to the table we got our drinks and placed our orders for a starters to share,... More
