The only downside of this restaurant is the fact that it is too dark. We were on a business meal and the lighting was not appropriate. However the steaks were just fantastics. The waiter helped us very nicely and we could choose some great pieces of meat. Beware, large portions, do not order starters.

Great happy hour - particularly burgers & calamari. The blue burger is particularly fantastic. The wines - extensive, are also good, but only a few on special. Outside of the happy hour specials (where only allowed in the bar area - where a line to get in at opening and thereafter), very expensive and of relatively low quality compared to... More

the restaurant has moved from being inside Standford Shopping Center to a separate building just outside. Steaks are still excellent but it also is quite noisy as it is one big room.

Shocked at the ratings. Maybe by Palo Alto standards this is good. By worldwide standards: average (at best) food, overpriced wine, and ridiculous prices. Added to which, it's very noisy. Apparently the old building was better insulated - don't know as I never went there. Service was slow and disinterested. I will not be going back.

Oh my .... this steak was unreal! I had the dry aged prime ribeye (medium-rare) with a side of sautéed mushrooms and the meal was to die for! Justin was my waiter (in the bar area) and took very good care of me. This is an enormous steak and could easily be shared by two people who don't eat large... More

A very dependable old school steakhouse though the bill always seems to rise to the occasion. There was better service prior to their move to the new building. It seemed like they were training several novice servers at our last visit but I'm assuming this will work its way out. Great food, great desserts and a very strong wine list.... More

We have been there multiple times, but mostly for the happy hour 5, 6, 7 deal, after the long shopping (from Stanford shopping center). The business is always good, the drinks are well prepared, and the appetizer tasty. This time, we tried for a real dinner, here what we like: 1. the food is well prepared -- the steak is... More

I have visited this restaurant a few times during happy hours and for dinners, taking my parents there on occasions. The restaurant atmosphere is rather more open and friendly than intimate. We like their filet mignon steak for its flavor and tenderness. The service staff is attentive and courteous. The restaurant manager is always very accomodating which is a real... More

The bar only happy hour menu features several quality food/wine selections foe $6. The full restaurant menu is available in the bar area as well. In addition, the bar area has a couple of flat screens, so you can watch the game while getting your grub on.
