We love this place and since its right next to Patxi pizza and Rangoon ruby it makes it a great dessert place to go to. My favorite is Pistachio but unfortunately they werent serving it the last time we went so we tried Honey lavendar which was equally good.

This is the best Gelato Place in South Bay, if not the best in San Francisco Bay Area for Gelato! No need to go to downtown SF or other parts of Bay Area to get gelato. Gelato Classico is it!

Gelato is good, has some interesting flavors such as fresh ginger. Had the pistachio and walnut which was good (but have eaten better)... One big problem is that this is a cash only establishment... which is a royal pain

Almost always has a line, but it moves relatively quickly. There are lots of great favors (my favorites are mint chocolate chip, dark chocolate, peanut butter and chocolate).

Not a long line - just shows that it is appreciated. Order at the counter, great variety of choices both gelato and ice cream, and then take outside. There's a few tables outside but plan to eat standing or walking. Nice after eating a spicy dinner next door at Jing Jing or elsewhere.

My boyfriend and I went twice during our trip to San Francisco. We ended up here twice for several reasons - I really like gelato, the gelato is definitely very good, and it was convenient to where we were staying. The large variety of unique flavors - like lavender or ginger - is probably what makes this place great. We... More

We just returned from a trip to Italy and we were having an Italian meal in honor of our trip and the Euro soccer final. I picked up some pizza from Patxis next door and was on the way to the car when I saw a family licking their gelato cones outside the shop. I darted in and was happy... More

It seems that great gelato is getting harder to find so run don't walk to this place. Best I have ever had, anywhere!

Unless you are planning to go to Florence, Gelato Classico is one of the closest things to an authentic gelato that you are going to find in these parts. They have various traditional flavors such as hazelnut, chocolate, and coffee, as well as some more interesting sorbet flavors. My favorite is the passionfruit sorbet!

Excellent! Very good. And the staff member working there was super friendly! She was real nice and let us taste test a couple kinds of gelato. The gelatos were flavorful and delicious. Each of us got a couple different flavors and enjoyed each one a lot. Definitely will be back to this friendly little place!
