The staff here are very patient and allow you to taste the array of flavours they have. Ice creams are very creamy and taste amazing. A must stop in Palo Alto

Delicious creamy/chewy Italian ice cream. Get the affogato -- gelato served with espresso poured over the top. Yum!

I LOVE ice cream and gelato. I had great gelato here before and always was very happy. Today after Burmese spicy food I really was looking forward to some nice gelato. It was surprisingly watery and had no real taste

Gelato Classico was the place for Gelato in the 80s and 90s unfortunately to my knowledge The locations in Palo Alto and San Francisco (close to Washington square on Union) are the only onse left. If you have not tried their Spumoni th epilgrimage will be rewarded. Copa mista for those with nut allergies is as close as gelato heaven... More

We love this place and since its right next to Patxi pizza and Rangoon ruby it makes it a great dessert place to go to. My favorite is Pistachio but unfortunately they werent serving it the last time we went so we tried Honey lavendar which was equally good.

This is the best Gelato Place in South Bay, if not the best in San Francisco Bay Area for Gelato! No need to go to downtown SF or other parts of Bay Area to get gelato. Gelato Classico is it!

Gelato is good, has some interesting flavors such as fresh ginger. Had the pistachio and walnut which was good (but have eaten better)... One big problem is that this is a cash only establishment... which is a royal pain

Almost always has a line, but it moves relatively quickly. There are lots of great favors (my favorites are mint chocolate chip, dark chocolate, peanut butter and chocolate).

Not a long line - just shows that it is appreciated. Order at the counter, great variety of choices both gelato and ice cream, and then take outside. There's a few tables outside but plan to eat standing or walking. Nice after eating a spicy dinner next door at Jing Jing or elsewhere.
