Great Options

We had a very enjoyable, casual meal at The Counter with truly friendly service. As someone who likes to mix weird flavors, I loved the unusual topping options and the burger was nice and hefty. So, why four stars? I always order medium, the waitress actually suggested medium, but the burger I... read more

When this place first opened, it seemed like a great idea, and the food was delicious, but the last several times I've been, the food, the service, and the environment have seemed no more than ordinary. Not only that, but if you are paying for a custom and premium burger experiences it should be just that. The quality of the... More

So, why four stars? I always order medium, the waitress actually suggested medium, but the burger I got was still well done. I don't know... More

Love this place. If you like burgers and you want something more high end than a fast food place but not have to take up another mortgage then this is the place to go! Huge selection of burgers, you can even custom make the one you dreamt about last night! Drinks are good as well and service is always great,... More

This is a build your own burger restaurant but they do have some excellent recommendation burger meals which is what I opted for. You certainly get a lot for your money but it was all excellent. The staff were very helpful and attentive. There was a great atmosphere here. They do some good beer too.

I have been to the counter many times since it opened. Overall, I have been impressed with the quality of the food. A single patty is the best choice as anything larger is overwhelming except for the big eater. I like the sweet potato fries and I enjoy the choice of add on's. Service is generally quick and take out... More

The counter tries to give a new face to the burger, and in my mind it succeeds. We went to the Palo Alto and the Mountain View location, and both were good. What I liked is that the flavors are unique. They are not just the same old hat in new packaging. The flavors are actually new and unique, not... More

We had lunch here and liked the feel of the place, modern and clean. Serving staff all efficient and working hard. Gluten free options plentiful and listed on a separate menu, gf buns provided. My salmon with herbs in a bowl of lettuce was a healthy alternative and tasted good. With a shake and two lots of chips, bill came... More

Many burger choices that are just delicious. Sweet potatoe fries are wonderful as well. Will definitely go back when an In & Out Burger is just not enough.

Build your own burger is risky, but keep it simple and you will do fine. Great for family with kids, very noisy so you won't mind the kids adding to the ambience. After about 4 visits have decided this is the best burger around. The fried pickles are good as well. If you can sit outside, yes on the camino... More
