Had the breakfast sandwich (ham/cheese on croissant). Fast friendly service and sandwich was excellent. Will return to try other pastries which looked delicious.

Upon entry into this cozy shop and then .... first display case ... FANTASIA! My eyes saw a mind boggling display of; pastries, cakes, little & big, selection was unbelievable, and difficult to pull away to view the second display of: sandwiches (they will add/change contents to satisfy most customer requests) with tasty homemade breads, crepes, quiche, croissants, lots of... fabulous breakfast pastries, delicious desserts and interesting lunches, this french bakery is a breath of fresh air in price and freshness from hotel breakfasts. In the middle of an open air shopping center, it is always busy, often crowded but filled with yummy additions to great coffees and teas.

Arrived at Douce about 8 in the morning and it was packed. There was a line which we only waited 5 minutes despite the amount of customers. The service was great;they recommended which desserts or bakery items they enjoyed. The only problem is that they don't have a name or price tag below the desserts, so you don't know what... More

Their traditional French pastries look just like the bakery website photos! All pastries and breads are baked daily at both the Palo Alto Cafe and at the Redwood City Bakery. Some items are transported daily from Redwood City to Palo Alto. Portions are slightly smaller, but ingredients are high quality and bursting with flavor: fresh fruits & berries, almond, cream,... We love Douce France, and so does everyone else! This place can get very busy, but it's worth the wait. They have expanded the menu with hot lunch/brunch offerings. I love their new omlettes. The cuisine is very French, and with the updated menu, there are now options for gluten-free eaters. Of course, they still offer their famous pasteries and... More

Popular place in Town and Country Village shopping center. Croque Madame was only ok. Side salads were tasty. Crepes were eh. Vegetable lasagna was good. The menu had good variety. I just thought the execution could be a little better.

My parents swear by this place. They go their every day. There's a barrista named Armando: make sure HE makes your coffee. Also: sit outside if you can, because inside it can get LOUD. Delightful staff.

At seven a.m. the chocolate is still dripping on these amazing croissants. One of these and a caffe latte...perfect.
