I am still savoring my dinner from 2 nights ago. The linguini frutta di mare tasted so incredibly fresh and wonderful while the pasta was cooked perfectly aldente. I could not believe the amount of seafood in the pasta including calamari, shrimp and scallops. Paired with a reasonable priced bottle of Ruffino Chianti Classico....makes me want to go back!!

The place is ok. The food fine. The service so so. But the reality is, that Palo Alto host at least one much better Italian restaurant both when it comes to the place, the food and in particular the service. Dished were served fast – extremely fast actually. So fast the waiter did not notice, that we had no silverware.... More

This is our "go to" place in Palo Alto, and we frequently encounter our friends from Downtown North when we are there. We love the staff. Heck, we love Sal (the proprietor), a local land baron who owns much of Palo Alto real estate. The food is very good, particularly if you know what to order. And the prices are... More

It was a busy Friday in Palo Alto so we decided to wing it and walk down University Ave and hope we could find a decent restaurant. We managed to get a table in this busy Italian trattoria. The service was outstanding, friendly, knowledgeable and efficient. We ordered two good salads, beetroot and caprese and the fish/seafood ravioli was excellent... More

The appetizers, desserts and pasta are great. My favorite are butternut Squash Ravioli and the PANNA COTTA.

I had dinner here on a Wednesday evening. It's right in the middle of University Street, smack in the middle of restaurant row, shops, etc., it has a very nice outside patio facing the street, and the decor is very nice, rustic Italian. So far so good. Service was fine, hostess was pleasant, waiter helpful but not condescending, and he... More

Ate here on a busy Friday night with a large group. Everything was tasty-pizza, steak, appetizers and some pretty authentic Italian dishes. Tiramisu and espresso were a nice ending to the meal. Small menu priced $15 and up. Nice drink & wine selection but no draft beer. The owner even came to our table and was very friendly.

We were late, just walking University Avenue as a sort of "sightseeing Palo Alto". The outdoor seating attracted us, and: we were lucky! Nice, tasty food, good service and a good spot to watch everybody.... Cosy, laid-back dining. No Michelin stars, no pretentions, just very nice food!

Tasty, locally-inspired Italian food. The menu was not very large but I wanted to eat every single item on the menu. I had the gnocchi and it was excellent and their pasta is very clearly homemade. Others had the lamb cheeks and fettuccine, butternut squash ravioli, and mushroom/quail risotto, and everyone was pleased with their meals. The environmental, while a... More
