If you love Indian Curry , then this is a place to stop by. OMG ! The food is so good. The buffet selection was " mind blowing " and the dessert................what can i say ! i did not know i could eat that much; considering that i am a good cook myself. But damn, it was so good that... More

I wondered why this restaurant wasn't in the top 100 restaurants, or even in the top 20, and saw the two lowest reviews were from 2007. Boy have things changed since then. After travelling across the country today, I didnt want a huge fancy dinner, but I wanted something tasty. Being walking distance to the hotel, I decided it to... More

I've been to Darbar multiple times - both lunch buffet and dinner service. The thing that brought me here in the first place was my search for my favorite dish: Prawn Korma. Looked from Mountain View to Palo Alto before I finally found Darbar. The Prawn Korma was great and is my go-to dish, and coming in at a close... More

Authentic Indian restaurant. My Indian friend brought me here and told me it was one of his favorites around the area. I tried vindaloos, tikka maksala, and many other things but vindaloos here are still my favorite up to date! The atmosphere is also pretty nice to just sit and chill for a while!

Have to say I've eaten my fair share of Indian cuisine lunch buffets in my time. The highlights for me at Darbar- cleanliness, service, naan supply. Main thing I like about this buffet is the dishes all taste like they were made separately, ie. not just a different meat with the same "base" sauce. Main detractions: overwhelmingly under-spiced

This is considered an average - even above average - indian restaurant for the area. Compared to all the expensive restaurants a block away on University Ave, Darbar keeps its prices at the same level as the 90's. There's a very decent lunch buffet, and a generally northern indian menu. The southern indian portion is only average by the standards... More

In full disclosure, I am not an Indian food connoisseur. I loved Darbar. Samosas were yummy. I ordered a vegetarian dish that was rich with flavor. My husband ordered lamb that was tender with very little fat.

There are lots of small Indian restaurants in the Palo Alto area. I think that I've tried them all (but am sure that I haven't). This one, on Lytton Ave. just below Alma, is a total hole in the wall, awaiting discovery. What really makes an Indian restaurant for you? For me, it is all about the sauces. Darbar creates... More

After hearing about this place countless times from friends, I finally decided to try it. Definitely a decision that i'm glad I made. From the beginning, my experience was great due to the friendly staff. It was also a Friday night, and pretty busy, so I was expecting to wait quite some time for my food. However, I was pleasantly... More
