We have enjoyed this restaurant on many occasions. It is attractive and comfortable and the food is always good. The menu offers many standard Chinese dishes but you can also explore more exotic, authentic dishes. The owners are friendly and always seem to recognize us when we come which is a nice touch. We will keep coming back

THIS RESTAURANT HAS A NEW NAME----MANDARIN ROOTS! We loved the old Hunan Garden but I would argue that this new iteration is much better. We had Peruvian Shrimp MUSHU, soft shell crab spring roll, Teapot Soup, and some phenomenal noodles. All were superb. the service friendly and helpful, the prices very reasonable.

We had an excellent lunch here. All of the food was great and pretty. The duck was a bit tough, but the chow fun was great, the seafood soup excellent. There is no doubt that we will be back.

We have been there several times. The service is great, and the people are just nice. The food is also very good... very long menu as many Chinese restaurants! We were never disappointed. We'll be back!

Had a business lunch here. Always a challenge to find a quality, reasonable place in Palo Alto that makes it under company expense limits. This place has excellent, well prepared food at a flat lunch price of $12.00 for all menu items. First you get a choice of soup or salad, then an eggroll as an appetizer followed by a... More

This is a fun family run place with great food. Fresh vegetable dishes are really fresh. We had the spring rolls and 2 veggie dishes. The waitstaff is amazing and wants to make you visit great. There is inside and outside seating. Will go again soon.

This restaurant is a pure definition of service with pride ! There is no pretentious smiles or greeting ; they welcomed us as if we were friends or family and there for dinner. I was amazed. the price on items was good and the environment was exotic. Food tastes very good, with variety of vegetables. I am impressed and will... More

Whether one orders take out or dines in, the food here is consistently good. The service is always friendly and pleasant, and welcoming. The inside ambience is quite nice, and one can even dine in the glittery garden for an outside feel. There is a lot to choose from o the menu, and I especially like that they can make... More

The inside of this restaurant was a surprise. It was not your typical chinese decor but had a outdoor patio with tables and flowers that seems part of the dining room as it's separated by lots of sliding glass doors. The menu was very typical but our dishes were more individual and well prepared than usual. We were there for... More
