Favorite fish place and affordable too!

If you like fish you will love fish market. Outstanding selection of fish dishes at increasingly affordable prices. Good wine bar too. Can't go wrong for lunch or dinner!

Like everything else in the area, it was on the high side for our budget, but the food was good. The service was very good. I would probably go back again.

The Fish Market has better than average sea food but they are a burn and turn larger operation so adjust your expectations accordingly. I understand the happy hour is pretty good. They have a wide variety of choices but I generally have found the dishes bland and under-seasoned. The prices are reasonable for the bay area but people coming in... More

Daily Happy Hour at the bar is the place to be. 1/2 off beer and wine, $2.00 oysters, and great tapas. Great place to hang and have an early diner with some of the original Silicon Valley pioneers.

This use to be our favorite seafood restaurant but in the last 6 months the service and quality has declined to the point that we won't be going back. The service is deplorable and the food is just unappealing. Wait times to receive service are absurd and the fish is completely tasteless. I wonder what happened over the last few... More

Arrived at my hotel 500 yards from the Fish Market at 5pm local time but 1am Irish time. Decided to dine there at 7.30 which was 3.30 am according to my body clock, had a G n T an Crab Cakes followed by Canadian Sole and a glass of Sav Blanc, highly impressed and also a lovely fresh fish counter... The fish is always fresh and terrific here! The wine list is solid and the margaritas are good! Close to PA Square for before or after a movie!

Highly recommended! Not fancy, but very pleasant dining experience and excellent, fresh food. I have eaten here approximately 10 times while traveling on business and have never had anything other than an excellent experience.

I've visited The Fish Market in Palo Alto twice during the last month. The fish and seafood have been good and the service prompt. The noise level in the restaurant is relatively high. My only complaint is that the "sides" are predominantly potato variations (i.e., au gratin potatoes, fingerling potatoes and fries). The other choices are cole slaw, roasted vegetables... More

Whether planning on cooking seafood at home (there is a fine fresh seafood market inside the restaurant) or enjoying the recipes prepared and served at the restaurant, this is the best option in the area for sure!
