Best and biggest sushi servings in friendly setting

This is one of those unsung neighborhood gems that visitors would never know about. Tucked in the back of an upscale shopping mall, and with a decidedly homespun decor, with no reservations. The rice, miso soup, and fish (although fresh) were average at best. The bento boxes weren't appealing and the meat in one of them wasn't good at all. The Chirashi was a good portion of rice and sashimi. This place is well located in a campus area, affordable by students; wouldn't survive in, say, Santana Row. Unless I have nothing... More

I consider Sushi House a neighborhood restaurant. Its a small restaurant tucked in one corner of Town and Country Mall in PA. It serves most of the popular Japanese dishes. My favorite has been Chirashi and the box dinner. Service is fast and friendly.

We have been coming here for the past 25+ years! We have gotten sushi here at least 300+ times, it has been the most reliable restaurant in terms of quality and consistency, of any I have ever visited. BUT: Service can be slow, take out orders are not always ready, and due to the small size, there is often a... More

This is not your fanciest sushi restaurant, but surly serves very good sushi at reasonable prices. On some visits I order Chirasi which I love the assorted fish, or the Bento Box which is a full meal with soup, salad and all with choice of brown rice. My favorite individual sushi is the spicy Spider Role. Staff is friendly and... More

Good value, I usually eat here when I'm in town. No great atmosphere - it's a basic "hole in the wall" place and you usually have to queue to get a table (which I always take as a good sign). Basic sushi and sashimi and hot meals at a decent price for the area.

My family and I were introduced to the Sushi House in Palo Alto at the Town and Country shopping center and were pleasantly surprised. The restaurant is located just across from Stanford Stadium and is convenient if you want to pick up some sushi before a big football game. The food was fresh and tasty. The Staff was friendly and... My family, loves sushi, and this is our place to meet our favorite food. Town and Country Mall in Palo Alto has become the dinner stop in town. Sushi House, tucked in the back building of the mall. serves great sushi. Just go there for the great sushi, or, take away.

I’ve been going to the Sushi House for it seems like forever. It’s small & nothing fancy, located way back in the Town & Country Shopping Center. My Japanese mother loved it when we first visited it years ago & that in itself was a solid recommendation for me! Note: It’s a go to place for many local employees for... More

This is your basic, wonderful, neighborhood Japanese restaurant. Nothing too fancy, but the food is always great, prices reasonable, and fun for dates or with friends.
