We also enjoyed the outdoor seating on a warm weeknight and didn't find it crowded at all. The rack of ribs were fall off the bone good though the fries that came with them had no taste and served primarily as a ketchup delivery system. Reasonable prices, good service.

Many people come for the outdoor setting and relaxing fountain. We like sitting at the bar with the affable bartenders and enjoying the beers on tap like Maredsous or Speckled Hen, the vegetarian Benedict, the burgers, the specials. I especially like Dean the bartender. AVOID sitting at the bar when the lady owner is there - she inevitably says something... More

This is one of those places where you walk in, and "this is going to be great" Then you look at the wine and beer list, and something's not right. The choices aren't well chosen. But the bartender and server is very friendly, so you move on. When the food comes, eveything just doesn't taste great. Not _spoiled_, just lacking... More

When there's great weather, you can't beat the outdoor seating area.

We stop in often for a nice weekend brunch or weekday lunch. When the weather is good, we enjoy sitting in their courtyard. Inside, it's fun to catch a game on one of the TVs behind the bar.

This might be the Palo Alto version of the American Tap Room, but it's very Cheesecake Factory-ish. Pros: good service. Cons: really close quarters/crowded, loud, food is okay, not great and kind of overpriced.

Interesting selection of beers on tap and in bottles. We had superb service. The dish we ordered for brunch was lukewarm and a little bland, but the fresh fruit served with it was nice. The main area is a long, narrow bar with a row of table, and there is also a lovely outside seating area. I would go back... More

The concept is solid, the outdoor patio seating is perfect. The foliage gives the patio terrific atmosphere. The interior decor is classy and without being stuffy. The menu is solid, with a combination of grill items, pizza, and pastas. Perfect, in theory. In practice, it's utter FAIL. I ordered the carpaccio starter to share with my husband, but the waiter... From the outside this place doesn't look so great, however once you get inside, you can tell this is a great place to hunker down for a beer or some food. There is a long bar that stretches the entire length of the building. It is populated with a mixture of people of all ages. They also have outdoor seating... More

I've been to ETR for lunch, dinner and drinks many times. Watched almost all of the SF Giants playoffs and world series here and had a blast. I could be biased because I love Dean. Nice guy, great Boston accent, makes a good drink. So I just recently went for brunch and it was delicious. I had an omelette that... More
