Tamarine is a contemporary Vietnamese restaurant that features the light but flavor-intensive culinary delicacies of Vietnam. The restaurant offers a menu based on small plates, promoting the Vietnamese tradition of the 'shared' meal in which food is shared and enjoyed with those close. Tamarine's small plate entrees are enjoyed with the pairing of a variety of aromatic, flavor infused rice, designed to be mixed and matched to create a truly unique flavor experience. Along with culinary delicacies of Vietnam, the restaurant showcases the works of emerging artists from Vietnam and other Southeast Asian countries. Consistently Outperforms

I continue to be amazed at how each time I have been to this restaurant, it is truly excellent. Food just terrific (tuna tartare app just OK, but chickpea pancakes lovely starter; jumbo prawns fantastic, duck excellent and noodle dish as well); service likewise. Wish tables weren't so close, but... read more

It started with easy parking in the back and ended there too! In between, it was great service and excellent food. We were a large group and must have ordered 9-10 different dishes. - one of the best shaking beef, - ditto for tofu The only disappointment was the dessert. I think we had bread pudding with ice cream. An... More

The special gin and tonic is worth the trip to Tamarine. Add a delicious eggplant dish, the best eggplant ever, and you discover just how good Tamerine is. Roomy, pleasant, friendly place to enjoy a delicious meal with friends.

My wife and I had an outstanding dinner at Tamarine. We called 30 minutes before we arrived and were told the only available seating was at the bar, though they had a last minute cancellation during the time it took for us to arrive and we were seated at a nice table. Highlights of the meal were the green papaya... More

Tamarine truly lived up to it's reputation! Choosing what to eat was tough but everything we ordered was delicious so I don't think it would be a problem. We shared the shrimp cupcakes - succulent and subtley seasoned shrimp one a cup of crispy, chewy coconut dough. Yum! I had the crab and garlic glass noodles - spicy and delicious!... More

I attended a group dinner here for a work function. We had a nice private space and had wine and appetizers before we sat down for our meal. The private space allowed for mingling and walking around before dinner. The appetizers were delicious! For dinner we had a pre-selected menu and the dishes were served family style. I really liked... More

The menu was broad and includes many vegetarian dishes. The waiter was able to answer questions about the variety of food allergies at our table. They have an extensive wine list, as well as several interesting beers and cocktails, plus after dinner drinks. Definitely a good place for a special event.

This is the best place I have been in Palo Alto during my business trip. Although I'm Asian and I had tasted lots of Asian food in my life, I swear here they have great food combined with east and west of the world. We ordered almost 8 dishes and we found we didn't have such good taste in America... More

This restaurant is consistently excellent, every time we go. Service is good, only complaint is the noise level, hard to talk without using very loud voices.

Tamarind is a wonderful restaurant. They have great cocktails and a good wine menu. You can choose from a lot of appetizers or first course followed by a wonderful dinner menu! I would have to say my favorite is the sea bass! But they have other options for fish and usually a meat entree like lamb or steak. Plenty of... More
