Description: Tamarine is a contemporary Vietnamese restaurant that features the light but flavor-intensive culinary delicacies of Vietnam. The restaurant offers a menu based on small plates, promoting the Vietnamese tradition of the 'shared' meal in which food is shared and enjoyed with those close. Tamarine's small plate entrees are enjoyed with the pairing of a variety of aromatic, flavor infused rice, designed to be mixed and matched to create a truly unique flavor experience. Along with culinary delicacies of Vietnam, the restaurant showcases the works of emerging artists from Vietnam and other Southeast Asian countries. Semi-annual exhibits will close with a cocktail event to auction the art. Proceeds will be donated to La Maison Chance, an orphanage in Saigon, Vietnam.

I have visited Vietnam on couple of occasions and found the food at Tamarine very authentic, beautifully presented and simply delicious. Loved the Kibe beef pho. Delicately flavored and the beef was not over cooked. The prawns are out of this world and the sea bass awesome. Beautiful ambiance and great service. Must visit.

Reserved by a colleague, this treat came at the end of a tiring day. Arriving on time we were shown the bar but before the drinks touched our lips we were taken to our (small) table. The menu arrived and between the three of us we placed our order for a selection of appetisers whilst still looking at the entrées.... More

I was delighted by my experience, from securing reservations to an unhurried dinner. We wanted to taste, and never felt rushed. The curry was delicious, as was the sea bass. The tapioca was a perfect ending - not to be missed if you enjoy it. Great wine list by the glass.

I and my friend enjoyed what we ordered at Tamarine restaurant for the last two years.. Prawns were delicious, lemongrass sea bass and Kobe beef pho were excellent! Servers are very knowledgable..The green sauce with calamari was the first time we tasted and was great! The parking structure just behind the restaurant makes parking very easy for University Avenue.. The... More

This was very busy on a Friday night, so it's good we had reservations for 8 pm. It's right on University Ave so you have to circle for parking, but it's not that bad as long as you save time for that. The wait was a little long for food and drink, but that corresponded with the restaurant being so... More

Having just spent some time in Vietnam a few months ago, I can say that this restaurant is more Asian fusion with a Vietnamese emphasis, rather than true Vietnamese food. That being said, it is what it is--I don't think the restaurant holds itself out as a true Vietnamese restaurant. Overall the food here was very good. I ordered a... More

Stopped in Tamarine on my first trip to PA. Great spot, super great vibe, and wonderful service. We had reservations and arrived early. We grabbed a drink at the bar and then were quickly seated. Even though the bar was crowded, the bartender grabbed our drink order quickly. Once at our cozy, awesome table--our server quickly greeted us. We dove... More

I absolutely love coming back to Tamarine again and again. I like having drinks at the bar along with small plates and then take a walk at University avenue. We always experiment with new dishes and given we like to share food, it is always a good experience. The sea bass is super!
