Friendly service at the bar, but my glass was dirty. Table wasn't ready until about a half hour past our reservation time. Shrimp tasted like ammonia and sides were nothing special. Appetizers were good. One of our entrees was forgotten. Waiter was impatient and patronizing; didn't take drink orders (had to call him back). Loud place; hard to keep a... More

We were a group of 12 and seated in the private dining room in the back. The food was very good, the service inconsistent and a disagreement over the bill soured the experience. We shared assorted starters including the salt & pepper calamari, tuna tartare and shrimp toast and they were all good. The Kobe beef in the pho was... More

We recently had dinner at Tamarine. We had not ben there in a year even though this is one of our favorite restaurants in Palo Alto. The food was amazing. Quality and flavor were consistent with the excellence we've come to expect from Tamarine. Love it!!

Great selection of items on the menu. I chose the Shaking beef and my girlfriend had the sea bass. I wish I had also selected the sea bass, it was really really good.

I was in town visiting a friend in Palo at the last minute and we decided to go out and grab a bite to eat at 9 pm. The place was packed, so we sat at the bar which apparently put off the bar tenders. The bar was messy so I asked them to wipe it down and I may... More

I have been to Tamarine a few times. The ambience is very clean and uncluttered. The food is very nice. Some items on the menu are excellent. It is modern Vietnamese, traditional recipes with some twist but stay true to the original. The desserts are a disappointment, they do not go with the quality of rest of the food, unfortunately.... A surprisingly pleasant and diverse menu - highly recommend the sea bass (OMG delicious). Small group of six of us stopped in on a Tuesday evening. Staff was very accommodating as some of our party were running late. Specialty cocktail menu offered Asian takes on about a dozen drinks. Appetizers were awesome but the entrees were truly excellent. Highly recommend.

We had a large group and were served in a private dining room near the entrance. We were served in continuous waves of small delectable items starting with items like lamb rolls and poached prawns, moving on to a delicious and refreshingly light coconut soup with crab wontons and a nice salad with Gorgonzola, and then served a variety of... Food was delicious, as usual, for a late Valentine's lunch. Service too. I maybe wrong - but is it getting less popular?

I came here for quick business lunch and was pleasantly surprised. Our waiter was very friendly and helpful and pointed us towards two different fish to share. The food was very flavorful and was great and if I am in the area I will definitely be visiting here again. It's a decent place for a business related meeting, but it'd... More
