Description: Tamarine is a contemporary Vietnamese restaurant that features the light...
Tamarine is a contemporary Vietnamese restaurant that features the light but flavor-intensive culinary delicacies of Vietnam. The restaurant offers a menu based on small plates, promoting the Vietnamese tradition of the 'shared' meal in which food is shared and enjoyed with those close. Tamarine's small plate entrees are enjoyed with the pairing of a variety of aromatic, flavor infused rice, designed to be mixed and matched to create a truly unique flavor experience. Along with culinary delicacies of Vietnam, the restaurant showcases the works of emerging artists from Vietnam and other Southeast Asian countries. Semi-annual exhibits will close with a cocktail event to auction the art. Proceeds will be donated to La Maison Chance, an orphanage in Saigon, Vietnam.

Very nice Asian fusion

A nice option in Palo Alto, have been here a few times and particularly enjoy the Vietnamese cuisine. Very nice service and a perfectly average wine list, certainly somewhere worth visiting if you like Asian fusion.

Loved the fusion food, the service, changes of dishes were fast without feeling rushed, tasted there my best cocktail ever. Would definitely come back there!

The best cocktails in California. The food is amazing. The atmosphere perfect blend of luxury and casual, the hostess always professional with no attitude. It has a sophisticated vibe but not too trendy. It's the best!

Had dinner here with a large group. The restaurant has an excellent selection of small dishes to choose from so you have an opportunity to taste everything. Friendly service.

Ate there last Thursday night with a business friend and his girlfriend. The food was ok, the list of wine by the glass was very limited (no Malbec or chianti)and expensive and getting our waiter's attention was next to impossible. I doubt that my wife and I or our friends will be back. There are plenty of better restaurants in... More

While some people say that fusion may never work Tamarine is proving them wrong. Succumb to the attentive waiter's romancing, share the dishes and you can hardly go wrong. It's not the solution to the world's energy problems but a great choice in Palo Alto.

Everything was excellent. We ate family style so we were able to sample several dishes. Loved the sea bass. We also enjoyed the tofu entre and clay pot veggies. Sweet potato fries are also a good pick. Very nice food presentation.

This is a really good restaurant, with innovative food, a terrific wine list and a pleasant and inviting atmosphere. The food is Vietnamese based fusion, on par with the Slanted Door in SF. But the atmosphere here is more refined. It is a perfect place for a quiet dinner or a business dinner. The service is wonderful. The varitey of... More

We enjoyed the tuna tartare, shrimp spring rolls, curried long beans, and taro root rolls but found the entrees more interesting. The claypot cod was a small serving but very flavorful. The shaking beef tenderloin and hoisin lamb chops were particularly good. The only big disappointment was the coconut butter prawns and their soggy batter. The tapioca dessert was a... More

Incredible food and favors and impeccable service. Tamarine is a place we will definitely come back to for special occasions. We shared the calamari, tuna tartare, beef entree, lemongrass fish, chicken, some incredible Brussels sprouts ( how often do you read that sentence?) and had some wonderful wine. Aside from the tables being crammed in a bit to fit everyone... More
