Miyake's advantage is its location. I ordered the combo with teriyaki and sashimi. The foods are fresh and well prepared. A good place to go if you are in Palo Alto and crave Japanese foods.

This review is for when I used to go there some ten years ago. It was a noisy, drunken stupor that served its purpose. It was never great, but that wasn't its reputation. Peace out Miyake.

This is barely even a sushi restaurant. They do have a bar with a conveyor belt, but if you really want fish, there are a dozen better places (kampai is 3 blocks away and acres better). You only go to miyaki because of the disco balls, party atmosphere, and SAKE BOMBs. You'll stand on the table with your crew and... More

I have been here before and when they were at a smaller location but on the same University Avenue only about two blocks away. The food quality has gone down hill since then. Again, I usually just like commenting on the fare, but I must also add that the service also slid the same direction. I went with my family... More

I haven't been to Miyake in a long time (years), but when I've been there in the past, the sushi is of mediocre quality at best. I think that the only reason to go would be for a group experience (loud and boisterous)

Bad service, bad sushi, loud and obnoxious drunks. Not there for the food obviously, but for the sake bongs. You are rushed out noT that we wanted to stay longer... Bad service! bathrooms were unkept and smelly SHALL I GO ON?

Disappointed with the quality of the rolls and sushi. I would say it's overrated but great for the Stanford student.

too much fun. If you dont' want the "pressure" or noise, take out a box of the veggie sushi, and come away for a very reasonable price. (I don't like raw fish anyway)
