Our new favorite upscale breakfast place in the area! We came here on a Friday morning and I got to indulge in an omelette with three ingredients of my choice: spinach, mushrooms, and goat cheese. A winning recipe, if I do say so myself! The make-your-own omelette is about $11, in line with the other breakfast entrees which are around... More

The food is great and the staff are friendly and efficient. We go every Saturday for breakfast and that really starts off the weekend with a bang!

Have visited Joanies on two occasions for breakfast and both times was very busy with waiting list. Exceptionally busy on Sunday with Farmers market nearby. Great selection of scrambles, catering for most dietary requirements. Service pretty slick once you get seated but, as another reviewer mentioned, table/seat cleaning a bit hit or miss. Don't let that put you off -... More

My husband and I meet here on Sunday mornings after our workouts. It's packed because of the Farmer's Market outside. We enjoy the wait as we get a chance to read our papers (except when its over 40 minutes) and they will bring you coffee while you wait. I almost always get the Mexican Scramble with fruit on the side... More

Last time I was here was two years ago and since then Joanie's has moved down the block to a larger corner location, but the food is still great and the atmosphere still the same. There are half a dozen good looking places to eat on that block of California Ave but I wouldn't think of any of the others.... More

This Cafe's dishes just look so good, and taste amazing. I'm kind of a breakfast person, i look forward to that big meal in the morning/brunch. Came here the first time last week, and plan on going back this weekend. It really has a cozy kind of feeling here, pretty busy place and is well worth the wait "we only... More

There's always a wait it seems, but we've been lucky to get in right away. Our kids like it because of the atmosphere and the menu; we like it because of the same things.

We'd booked a table for seven and from the outset, when no one brought a seventh chair, it was clear this wouldn't be straightforward. We fetched the chair. We then waited twenty minutes for the waitress to come and take an order for drinks. Tables around us were served their food and we had to prompt the waitress (when we... More
