Good food and excellent beer

This is a wonderful casual place to have good food that you would expect to get in a place that the main reason to go there is to have great beer. Service is slow when full so I go at off times. I always enjoy my time there. Good value for what you pay.

I visited the restaurant a thursday. There was quite a lot of guests, but the waiters were effective and polite, so everything went well. The food was rich and the plates big and at resonable prices. As the name indicates they focus on beer and have a large selection.

Gordon Biersch has been around for many years and is a great place to spend the evening. They have a large variety of food on their menu. Check out their Hefeweizen which is my favorite. For the beer fanatics, they have a huge 22 ounce beer mug. Parking during peak times can be a huge hassle. I would suggest you... More

8 of us made the mistake of eating here on a recent Thursday evening. The waiter only managed to get two of the eight orders correct. Some people received things that didn't order, or the wrong version of what they ordered. At least one person had to send their order back twice before finally getting the right thing. The only... Every time I go to Gordon Biersch I always think it will be a better experience than the last time. This experience was like every other... mediocre and left wishing I went elsewhere. I work for a large tech firm that gives us Passport Unlimited cards. These PU cards allow us to buy one entree, receive the second complimentary. GB... More

We had a good meal on a Sunday afternoon. Husband had the fish and chips and he said it was very good - fish moist, panko coating crispy and not greasy. I had the chicken stir-fry and it was good. Of course the star of the show were the garlic fries. They didn't overdo the garlic like many places have... More

One of my stable restarants whenever I am in Palo Alto, the steak in spicy sauce is always nicely done, full of flavour and worth the trip alone. Wide selection of beers, whatever your tastes.
