Oracle Bob's Nola Experiance

If you like Cajun / Creole cooking and exceptional service than you will love Nola's two store open center design makes you feel like you are in the French Quarter for sure. I had the Gumbo and started with the oysters Yummy.also had a side of grits just like back home (DeRidder La.)

My wife and I recently ate at Nola's in Palo Alto. It's unrelated to Nola's in New Orleans. The setting is quaint and somewhat reminds one of a Bourbon Street bistro. The food is good, not great but still very good. We ordered the pulled pork and the chicken with waffles. The chicken had a nice spicy kick to them... More

Sat by myself and had spicy jambalaya (it is pretty hot) and slaw. Was sat up at the bar and chatted to a few friendly folk. All in all a good place, not overpriced, food decent, Friday locals, can't complain at all.

Tucked in an embedded alleyway just of University Ave, Nola resembles in many always your typical Cajun bistro in New Orleans. Ambiance and decor is casual but very nice, equally suited for families, casual business dinners, or even a relaxed date night. Food is generally pretty good- gumbo's and other creole favorites. The sweat potato frites are a must. Good... More

Quite new town with Nola located close to the famous Standford cinema. We got a party with six people as Nola was recommended by a local who was with us. Service is good and at good pace. I never had Cajun food before. We first ask for a mixed shared appetizer plate and got several good things but the one... More

I had dinner here with some business associates a few nights ago. Fun place. We ate in the interior courtyard which was nice. The menu is pretty diverse. We tried some guacamole with crab and it was tasty. I had the fried chicken (dark meat or light meat) with waffles and it was tasty. My friends got a fish dish... More

If you're ready for a bar experience, then you won't be surprised. It's very loud unless you get a private room. There was a salad with hazelnuts and coconut shavings that was pretty good, and I liked the cornbread and the cole slaw, but some of the main dishes were too spicy. Even the fries were over-spiced! The dessert donuts... More

This restaurant is right off University Drive near Stanford. The ambience is cool. My colleague and I sat in the center of the restaurant which is outside and it does remind one of Bourbon Street in New Orleans. It's a Cajun menu. One of their specialties is the Skirt Steak so we both ordered that. It was marinated in teriyaki... More

I ordered a kale salad with chicken. When i didn't like the chicken i figured it was just spiced in a way that didn't suit my palette, but i tasted everything on the salad - the greens, the cheese, the apple - and none of them tasted anything like those things. instead they all tasted strangely awful. this was an...
