Sit in the indoor courtyard for lunch. It's very pleasant, and the food is yummy too. Be careful what you order if you're on a diet. Lot's of fried foods, and large portions. Nola turns into a pickup bar at night, so I don't bother with going for dinner.

I was here with a group and we ordered pitchers of drinks, several appetizers, and then dinner. The drinks were good -- our favorite was called "The Hemmingway" - watch out, it sneaks up on you. For dinner, I actually ordered an appetizer: the chicken and biscuits with bacon jam. I think it shows up on the menu as "chicken... More

This is a buzzing place full of energy. My wife & I had initial challenges in getting our waiter to present vegetarian items to us, but the manager took care of us after & we were satisfied. Overall, the food was good. Come here for cuisine that you won't typically find in the San Francisco/San Jose area & for energy.

A group of us gathered at NOLA for dinner. What a fun experience eating at this busy-happy place. Food was tasty-good. Staff for courteous and fast. I will dine again soon.

My wife and I enjoy New Orleans style cuisine and so have NOLA high on our list for lunch, usually stopping there as an on-the-spot decision since we can't go wrong...including Hurricanes. (We walk, don't drive!)

Went for a birthday party and the food is not great. Nothing came hot at all. Service was pretty good, but long lapses between visits. Go for the drinks not the food.

I was in Palo Alto two days for a meeting and although a little pricey, I was satisfied with an appetizer for lunch each day. The first day I had the crispy chicken sliders. The second day I had the Brussel sprouts hash and the Carmel brownie Sundae. all were excellent and enough for lunch. Some spicy on the menu... More

fun to be in, very expensive, the food is mediocre and the staff is overworked and underpaid. e.g. the service is lacking. I wouldn't recommend it for someone looking for a sane dinner. a bar night, go for it.

Having grown up in Louisiana and still traveling there many times a year I generally avoid ordering "Cajun-this" or "New Orleans style-that" or even going to a Louisiana-inspired restaurant outside of the state. Most often it's clear that either the chef's have never actually eaten in Louisiana or that they have modified the dish to the point of it being... More
