A Memorable Evening At Evvia

On the evening of August 16, 2015 I dined at Evvia Restaurant. As you enter Evvia you will be greeted by a beautiful flower arrangement by the reception area and another by the bar. There are a number of other touches of ambience as you look around the room such as large wine barrels fastened to... read more

I probably talk about Evvia (and Evvia's sister restaurant in SF, Kokkari) once or twice a month when I'm talking to people about great authentic Greek food. I encourage even those who don't like Octopus to try the grilled Octopus at Evvia, and the Dolmathes are a must every visit. The Spanakotiropita is also one of my favorites, and I... More

Was there last week with my husband. Still the best Greek restaurant in town and Bay Area. Amazing food, great service and ambiance. Somehow the has managed to keep up their quality.

The go to place for a special occasion or whenever you feel like pampering yourself. Not overly expensive given the quality of food is unparalleled. Also its a about the wholesome experience from good food, wine to warm and tastefully done interior. What we like the most are the meat entrees and the open oven and work area. The service... More

Been there several times and I would go back to Palo Alto just to go to this restaurant and this is coming from somebody that is going to Greece every year. Their seafood is great, the fish, the shrimps, the calamari, the octopus and they have the most amazing dessert Galaktoboureko - traditional phyllo wrapped vanilla bean semolina custard with... In the summer try and get a table that faces the street. The food is excellent, choices are abundant. Traditional greek fare at it's best. For those who have tried Dio Deka in Los Gatos, I find Evvia a more informal setting with top notch service.

What can you say. If you Like lamb this is THE place hands down. Every preparation of Lamb you can think of, all delicious. Lots of ambiance of an old world grill place. Consistently excellent lamb dishes. Come for the Lamb, stay for the Lamb.

We have been to Evvia several times and it is consistently good. We especially loved the Lamb Souvlaki and the whole Branzino. Our waiter was helpful, and even though our table was right by the counter where food was set out to be taken to tables, it wasn't noisy or disruptive. The maitre d' came over several times to check... More

Eviva is popular and thus crowded and noisy. But the food is consistently good. Many consider this the best western restaurant in downtown Palo alto.

Evvia is our special event restaurant for . Simple, beautiful decor, great service, but the star is their food: always. It took me over a decade to branch out from the lamb souvlaki because it was always top quality, grilled over an open wood fire to perfection. That is a mistake; there are so many delicious choices. I really like... More
