Sister restaurant of Kokkari, Evvia has been serving beautiful and elegant Greek cuisine since 1995. Fabulous fish, savory roasted meats, and sun-soaked vegetables are jazzed up with a spritz of lemon, a little olive oil, and herbs. There is perfection in simplicity.

Best Restaurant in Palo Alto!

Being a Stanford student, I have explore all of Palo Alto, seeking out the best restaurants. Evvia is above all others. Honestly, I could live off of just their saganaki (not too salty like most Greek restaurants) and lamb chops (always incredibly tender, juicy, and perfectly cooked). 100... read more

If you can get a table this is a great restaurant for business for lunch or dinner. The best thing to order is lamb chops.

Happily, business takes me to the Palo Alto area 1-3 times a year, an area as lovely as the astronomical real estate prices might suggest. When I go, I try to arrange my schedule to include lunch at Evvia. Food is very, very good and the ambience, location and service are excellent. Satisfactory value for the area. Equally as good... Went here for a lunch with coworkers and was extremely pleased. The staff was great about moving us to a larger table when an unexpected couple of people joined our party. My water was constantly refilled and the waitress was delightful. Ordered the chicken soulvaki which was great, however, the best part was definitely the Tzatziki. I could eat it... More

This place has excellent ambience and it was packed when we were there on a Friday night. But the food was quite disappointing. We ordered lamb shank and moussaka. The shank was tasteless and moussaka salty. The only good dish was the appetizer prawns, quite tasty. The tables were too close to one another. You cold hear the breath of... More

I had a dinner here with a friend, we started with crispy calamari and had the grilled lamb chops for main. The lamb chops are very tasty. Deseret side is a bit weak and our waiter was a bit annoying trying to be funny. The restaurant is always full and you have to have a reservation for dinner.

The Lamb Souvlaki (roasted lamb sandwich) was to die for. Medium rare lamb slices topped with tzatziki, tomato on a pita, served with seasonal green and lightly seasoned fried potatoes. Dessert - try the Galaktoboureko most delicious - phyllo wrapped vanilla bean semolina custard was so light combined with the crispiness of the phyllo and top with pistachio ice cream... More

Always superb. This spot has been our go to restaurant on every visit to Paly. Quality food & reasonable. The octopus is done to perfection. The fish always fresh. Tonite the braised pork was outstanding. Excellent service to boot. A high recommend.
