Description: Sister restaurant of Kokkari, Evvia has been serving beautiful and elegant Greek cuisine since 1995. Fabulous fish, savory roasted meats, and sun-soaked vegetables are jazzed up with a spritz of lemon, a little olive oil, and herbs. There is perfection in simplicity.

Had a great waiter in Sam which got the visit off to a good start. The food was across the board outstanding. Taramasalata was salty delicious and the squid with 2 dipping sauces was prepared to perfection. Enjoyed the house cured olives. Closed with galacktobureko which was best I have ever had. Worth the effort to get in here-

Last night, enjoyed a fabulous dinner. Famous for the ribeye steak; but I had the goat stew with orzo. Very good wine list for the prices. Enjoyed octopus appetizer and saghanaki. Normally we order. Normally order the lamb riblets which are out of this world good. Great atmosphere. Valet parking. I dine here when I can, maybe four to six... More

As many other reviews state, it is diffficult to get a reservation at Evvia for dinner unless you want to eat at 5PM so plan ahead. Evvia is now the place for lots of techies so I guess that keeps it humming. I have been multiple times over the last decade and our dinner the other night was not as... More

On a recent business trip I had the forethought of checking ahead and was able to get a 2 table reservation 7:30 on a weekday - the only slot they had. Well it was well worth the late start. Everything had a greek twist and was excellent. I tried three appetizers and two entrees and I could not pick a... More

I am from Canada, and have travelled to greece many time and I would say that this is American versions of Greek food. I have only been once so will not go overboard either way but I felt that on the positive side the atmosphere is very good. Extremely conducive for a great evening out. From the decor to the... A friend took us here a few years back and had wanted to come back many times but never quite made it until just now. It was worth making the reservation 2 weeks ahead. The saghanaki was too salty but the grilled flatbread was great. My husband and my mom both had the roasted lamb sandwich which they said was... More

This restaurant is very popular so you need to plan ahead and get a dinner reservation weeks in advance. My favorites are their appetizers especially when they have halloumi cheese, herbs and mushrooms. My favorite lamb dish is their braised lamb with orzo and their roasted chicken. The pastitsio is a hit or miss on temperature, one time the center... More

Always wait for the second or third time before judging a restaurant or a hotel. This one was my second dinner at Evvia in six months and I had the confirmation of everything. Cozy and warm ambience, excellent service, delicious (even if a bit heavy, but that's Greek food!) meals. Try the lamb, it's one of the best I ever... More

We had heard a lot about Evvia and that it was one of the better restaurants in Palo Alto. The ambience, service and staff did live up to the advance hype, but the food wasn’t quite there. For this level restaurant we can only say it was "Average". We ordered Sea Bass and the special of the evening, Lamb Rotisserie.... More

Excellent service, ambiance and cuisine. We save this place for special occasions since it's a bit pricey, but it's worth it. 10 of us, ages 12-80, celebrated Thanksgiving at Evvia this year and we were all delighted with the choice. I ordered the pastitsio entree and galaktoboureko for dessert - delicious!
