This is a great romantic restaurant with very good food and excellent service. The decor, which I'm told is different in each Trader Vic's, is autherntic (the polynesian pieces are real) and interesting. They highly emphasize their drink menu, and have many unusual mixed drinks. They claim that the Mai Tai was invented at Trader Vics (not at this one)... more

Gimmicky restaurant, I'd go for the "hawaiian" vibe, get a drink, and go somewhere else to eat. more

Went to this restaurant on a whim. Didn't even know that Trader Vics was a chain. This was Thursday night and the bar was more crowded than the dining area. On the enticing promise of a New Year "Gala" of Polynesian dancers and fine food, my fiancee and I made reservations for the second-seating.
