Description: Since its opening in 1974, prime steaks and martinis have never gone out...
Since its opening in 1974, prime steaks and martinis have never gone out of style at this Palo Alto institution. The atmosphere is very clubby with fireplaces, dark wood, sports memorabilia and plush leather booths tucked into the many nooks throughout the dining room. Famous for their slow-roasted prime rib & hand-cut U.S.D.A Prime Steaks, they also offer fresh seafood, cold water lobster tail & succulent shellfish. The 23 oz. Bone-In Rib eye Steak is the "Boss' Favorite" while the Double Cut Filet Mignon runs a close second. Sundance is respected for serving the best food money can buy coupled with value & simplicity – a welcome relief for serious food & steak aficionados. The menu is supported by an award-winning wine list that features over 400 selections focusing on highly allocated Napa Valley Cabernets & Sonoma Pinot Noirs. Exceptional ratings & numerous restaurant awards rank Sundance the Steakhouse as a true dining destination.

Loved the food, and they had great service. Lots of cool sports memorabilia all around the restaurant.

One of the few restaurants that we have been to that advertises Prime Rib permanently on their sign. As it turns out, they do so for good reason, we all universally agreed that it was the best Prime Rib we have had anywhere. Overall, the meal was fairly expensive, the standard Prime Rib was $37, but as mentioned above, it... More

Wooden style restaurant with a low light environment with great steaks. However is a little noisy which is not romantic but very good for going out with customers after a business meeting

I love a good vegetarian feast as much as my fellow Buddhists but there are times when the moon is full and a strange longing envelopes my innards .. And Sundance with its ebony dark interior, intended for serious business, beckons with impeccably cooked prime steaks and prime rib ; nothing else will do. There aren't many classic steakhouses left... More

We usually are not disappointed in our meals here. This time the steak was definitely not 7 ounces, and it was overcooked. Never happened in the past. They no longer serve your sundae with the sauce in a separate container, but it was as good as ever.

We were there last night for our anniversary.the food and service were top notch. The bread came as soon as we sat down. The raw oysters tasted clean and fresh. We tried the famous prime rib and it was melt in your mouth. Just as we thought the evening couldn't be better, our waiter, Luke, brought us a wedge of... More

My wife and I used to live in Menlo Park and ate at Sundance several times over the years but had not been there in many years until last night after a play in Palo Alto. The food was very good and service was excellent. We got there around 9:15 PM and were seated soon after that. Our server, Lindsay,... More

Had not been to Sundance for years, and felt like a prime rib. Delicious. Service was very good, and we had a nice booth. My husband had filet which was also delicious. Expensive.
