great sushi

Food was brilliant. The first waiter was hard to understand, and also didn't understand us. The second one was great. We would have wanted to try something new, but language was a barrier, so we ended up ordering our usual sushi. A shame, cause it was good.

My son waited 15 minutes for his basic meal of rice and teriyaki chicken. I had to walk to the other server to get his food prepared. Food tasted great - overall service is lacking and waitstaff has some slow people who need motivation and energy. Nice place - but be clear what you want

This place is always packed. Reservations are required unless you are a singleton angling for a seat at the sushi bar. I have been there multiple times over several years. I also lived and worked in Tokyo for two years, so I know my sushi. Everything and anything you order here will be perfect, among the best you've ever tasted.... More

The decor is lovely and the service excellent but.... That is where it stops. I have no idea how this gets top ratings in Sushi in any town. I ordered the #6 which is letting the chef chose. Big mistake. There was very little appetizing in box and most I had a hard time telling what it was. Most pretty... More

Extensive menu with high quality and fresh sushi. Now my favorite sushi place in the south bay that I've been to. They have gluten free options and will give you gf soy sauce. I recommend this place and will be returning. Good service.

This is probably one of the best sushi I ever had. I had the sushi selection with rolls, sushi and sashimi, everything was fresh and delicious. Highly recommended

Our sushi was quite good, the tempura was really tasty, the Mochi ice-cream was out of this world, our waitress was very pleasant, helpful and quick and offered us several good suggestions. The restaurant ambience was delightful. Although a bit expensive-the food and service was well worth it and we will certainly return when we are in Palo Alto!

This is good above average place, but too expensive and it's so hard to get a table after 5 PM on weekends.

The food quality is good, but the experiencing has been degrading over the years (been going there for 20+ years). Looks like if you don't have a reservation and just walk-in, you get a seat next to the bar (they build some new dining seats and expanded few years ago -- we were seated next to men's bathroom on a... We have avoided this place for many years because service had been rude and not especially competent...and the portions were very small. We recently went back and found the service quite pleasant and the portions adequate (not generous).....and the place is still pricey. However, this is the best sushi we have been able to find in the area and the... More
