This restaurant has a great atmosphere and staff. The food is to die for!! I love the pasta with clams in white wine sauce. Very friendly staff! Also have good happy hour specials!

Cafe Alto, as it is now called , is an amazing dining experience. I work as a Concierge for Marriott and one of my guests recommended Cafe Alto. The amazing service starts the minute you walk through the entrance and you are greeted by the wonderful hostess. Our server immediately got us started with cocktails. I had the Blood Orange... We stopped here during happy hour while waiting for an appointment. The drinks were pretty good, but the appetizers were only so-so. The calamari was tasty but they mixed squash with the calamari so it looks like you're getting more calamari than you really are. The margherita pizza was pretty good but nothing to write home about. We really weren't... More

Renzo is very underrated. Good Italian food in a comfortable, casual atmosphere. Much better than La Strada. Only criticism is on the sometimes obnoxious Italian accents of the staff!

This was my first taste of PA cuisine and the food and service was very good. The prices were high in my evaluation but that is a personal point. We had a window table and enjoyed our food.

Food was generally pretty good and service was friendly and efficient. Caesar salad was one of the best we've ever had, the Pasta Puttanesca was so flavorful , and my husband's Gemelli alla Carcerata was delicious and hearty - lots of sausage. The only disappointment was the fried calamari with zucchini. A squeeze of lemon and a sprinkle of salt... More

I've been a couple of times. The dishes are hit or miss. Sometimes they will be REALLY good, and sometimes they just taste like anything you can make at home. For the cost, I would expect every dish to be outstanding. I'm hesitant to go back.

We happened in to Cafe Renzo when visiting Palo Alto. Slow when we arrived early for dinner but lively within an hour. Prompt service with an Italian flavor. The food (ravioli, risotto, gnocchi) all good. Spaghetti with meat sauce for our toddler was good (according to the toddler). We would return.

Happy hour is earlier and a little less inviting, the food was now just decent, and prices are a little higher since the migration of the Partnership. The feel of the place, unfortunately, has changed losing some of its warmth and friendliness. The Bartender chewing gum in the customer's face is a nice touch. Good to see some familiar faces...
