Mayfield is nicely decorated and had a good fresh menu for breakfast. Location is good and there is plenty of parking in the strip mall. Service is very friendly and the space allows for quiet conversations, at least early in the morning. I had an omelette which was quite good and well seasoned. Would definitely schedule a meeting here again.

The bakery for quick breakfast is excellent, the breads / backed good the finest in the peninsula. The staff are harried, but good, the choice of bread is just right. If i want the fresh best of bread, this is the place i been going and will go again.

Easy going, clean and friendly cafe in Town and Country Square. Fresh strawberry lemonade is just one of the refreshing beverages! Service was terrific and atmosphere alive and hopping!

Lunched here last week, seated outdoors in glorious weather. Food was outstanding, seriously fresh and prepared perfectly. Table service was also very, very good. Surprising for the "outdoor" part of a restaurant. Only negative was the reception/hostess. OMG, you would have thought we were crashing some swanky Beverly Hills eatery. 11:15 a.m. no reservation, and there was a line of... More

A friend recommended we have lunch at Mayfields in the Town and country strip mall and I wasn't sure what to expect. This is not your ordinary strip mall- it's Palo Alto/Stanford after all. Nice lunch menu ( I had the Kale salad and added chicken), full bar, comprehensive wine selection. Service was prompt and friendly.

I come to Palo Alto for work almost weekly. And I have lackluster food reviews to date. I was recommended to another restaurant in this complex and it was closed for a private event. So I went to Yelp and found this place. I am surprisingly happy I did so. I ordered the gnocchi with brussels sprouts and it is... More

Coffee is ok but a bit on the bitter side. Staff very nice. Pastries good but not totally outstanding. I would still go back though to give it another chance someday.

The Mayfield Bakery has two faces: a bakery and a cafe. The bakery is a blessing to all who live nearby. The bread is excellent, there is not much else to say about it. The cafe is a slightly different story. I had lunch there just twice so I may be somewhat unlucky, but here it goes. Palo Alto is... More

I dined here on a sunday night and had the special, chicken pot pie. It was very good although I did find the portions quite small and hence paying 19 dollars to be excessive. Service was sloppy as I dont think they actually placed a single drink order or starter right, although the mains they did as most actually had... More
