My favourite place in downtown Palo Alto. Very fresh, imaginative, delicious, and filling tapas offerings. I've dined here with dates on romantic evenings, as well as with teen children for lunch. The lounge area is great for friends or business associates having a drink or a light snack. On Friday or Saturday evenings I like to dine on the patio... More

The dishes prepared at JOYA never disappoint, great bar and fun energy. Seats up front are noisy ask to be seated in back if you want to have a conversation

Found this not-so-little restaurant as we cruised the streets of Palo Alto and was not disappoints. The food was top notch, their menu very creative. Tha sidewalk tables added a bit of ambience to our afternoon meal.

We had dinner for 8 in their semi private room. Food was excellent and you can't beat the restaurant ambience.

Good food. Everyone's nice. Oh, I need more characters. Uh, the floor was clean. You can see through all the windows. There's a bathroom. And a roof.

The restaurant is on a corner of down town Palo Alto not far from the Stanford campus and has a very nice ambiance. The decor is modern and the windows on the side are covered with draperies, while the front of the restaurant can be opened up to merge the inside seating with the outside seating. We went for dinner,... More

On a recent trip to Palo Alto, I went out with some colleagues looking for a nice but quick meal on the min street. We stumbled on this restaurant around 8pm. They managed to find us a table for 8 and absolutely turned the charm on. After a selection of tapas, we chose separate mains, with all meals outstanding. I'd... More

Love the decor of this place, makes me feel cooler just walking in. The lighting and interior design feel like one of the boroughs in NYC - I like that vibe. Ordered a variety of tapas, the Kobe Beef Sliders were great, Brussels Sprouts yummy, the guac and chips are sublime. Most likely b/c the chips are taro root and... More

Start with the ceviche, then move to any of the meat items, and end with a chocolate dessert. Wonderful subdued party atmosphere in nicely modern rooms and wrap around bar. The kitchen is the highpoint - extremely well produced items just keep rolling out. A fine place to eat, finally, on university avenue.
